Some friends of mine and I are learning what our special talents type of deal is... like shos she's an empath with an affinity for electricity or Nicky is a wiz with divination and water faeries (undines mostly) and me i kind of have this weird connection with anything faery especially air and earth... but anyway today we went for a walk around campus in the rain mind you and it was weird things kept pulling us to them or talking to us... i could FEEL the trees and their age... there was one that was sick, he was soooo old... and dying and i could feel it... i still feel it... anyway... i dunno i guess i'm weirded out by this whole thing... is this kind of normal when you are a :RuNew: or yeah... our witch friend brent isn't much help... he can decipher the connection the three of us have (yeah there is another round of oddness... can we say ooky feelings all around that was a long night!) but when it comes to things like faeries he's kinda lost as his affinity seems to be the weather (yet something else i have to deal with... meanie didn't tell me he conjured the recent storm and i messed with it to hold it off so i could get home (ok so i asked the sylphs to hold it off and they did) and so there was another big drama cause now we got tornado type weather and 4 people died and i feel all guilty... so not of the fun) but he isn't much help for the talking to the faeries... and it's weird how they all seem to be greeting us...

I dont think the tree thing has anything to do with being a 'newbie'; we all have natural talents which we may or may not be aware of, and perhaps this is one of yours :)

i'm in the process of reading the book right now... that's where i found out that i'm more of an earth/air type person... shos we found out is an ether w/earth... she's freaking mind you last night they were all saying hi to her so i understand why... but yeah that book is helping a bit...

thanks for the reassurance maybe it is a natural talent... gonna have to look into that some more....

well i'm off to read... maybe i'll go try this meditaiton thing i just read later today...
