Talisman? Charm? Herbs etc to Protect your CAR??

i already have a safe travel talisman hanging from my rear view and when i travel its always with me
so i was looking on the web for something i could keep in my car to also keep people from braking in and any other damage to a car

so i was wondering if anyone here has something they reccomend or use??

I like to keep a small piece of rolled up parchment in my car written in dragon's blood ink and hidden within the dash. What it actually says I would rather not say, but any incantation to protect your car in any fashion you wish would do just fine. Something such as:

Protected you are both day and night
Shielded now from theft and plight.

Not a very 'good' example considering I just made it up, but you get the general idea. You may also want to hide it in a different spot than I do, as I hid mine in the dash specifically for theft as the dash is where we ofte keep items that are important for us in our car, whether it be insurance papers, that emergency pack of cigarettes, or that $20.00 bill wrapped up for an emergency incase our car breaks down.

If you wanted to protect it from a flat tire you could perhaps put it inside one of the hub caps and then place it back on the wheel, or underneath the driver's seat if you ever worry about your breaks giving out on you (putting it any closer would be dangerous in my opinion).

i've always heard that a piece of tiger eye can help protect your car.....couldn't hurt to add that to your incantation.

In my car, I have a balck braided cord with a charm of a cat (Bastet) on it. I put that on there since I am close to Bastet, and because she is very protective. I also have a small broom, for good luck, and a handmade beaded and hemp pentacle hanging from the rearview mirror. Things you make yourself, or given by someone else are great to hang on your mirror. I can make you a bead and hemp pentacle if you;d like and send it to you via snail mail. I'll snap a picture of mine tomorrow and post it to you. :) I'd be happy to make one for ya!

If I remember correctly, in Scott Cunningham's book " The Magical Household" it includes a chapter on both garage and car spells. At least I think it does. :)

Comfrey is associated with safety during travel. I'd imagine that would be something helpful to have in a car :) You could put some comfrey in a cloth pouch and hang it from the rearview mirror, or simply pop it in the glove compartment.

Sweetgrass is wonderful. Druids have a four corner ritual they do, which is black/white/black/white.. and it is to protect whatever lies within the four corners..

The first pic is the one hanging in my car- it was the very first one I ever made, so its a little shabby and crooked, but thats why i liked it so i put it in my car :) the second one is one that I am currently working on, this one has turned out perfectly so far, and all i have left to do is put the hemp around the frame.

This may not seem like much, but my mother used to own a van, practically an antique by the time she sold it. She dubbed it "her little Vanny" and spoke to it every day....especially about how it was going to run well and not get stolen. To make a long story short, it never broke down, and every break in attempt was was somehow thwarted.

I know that this information doesn't come in the form of a spell, symbol, or talisman, but I noticed that it's always been really effective to speak directly to the item you want protected, especially in addition to whatever else you're doing. I really can't give a practical reason why, and quite frankly, I feel silly speaking to inanimate objects, but it seems to work.........At least it worked for my mom.

And for the car protection stuff..... Yasmine Galenorns book "embracing the moon" Has a section in it on house protection, i actually use it for my car as well :bigredblu . Plus i talk to my car everyday and she works wonders for me. I actually put a spell on it once and that worked well too :)

Hubby and I park in a commuter lot and take the bus in to work.

A few years ago, there were a series of break-ins at the lot. Not wanting our cars to be broken into, I made up little charm-things to put in the glove boxes.

2 pieces of red felt, sewn together in the shape of a Stop sign. Inside, I put:
shards of glass found on the ground at previous break-in sites
holly leaves
oak leaves
cloves
Connecticut quarters (Charter Oak.. going with Oak again) that had been exposed to Full Moonlight
blackberry thorns

Never had a problem, and the break-ins subsided. MIL even wanted one for her car...

I find that with everything I do, crystals tend to be the most powerful affirmations and protectors. The logical reasoning for this, in my mind, is that crystals act as both conductors, and amplifiers, why not charge a crystal and hang it in your vehicle?

Just realize that the more you worry about this, the more negativity you surround the object (the car) with, and the more negativity is drawn to that car.

Just my two cents.

great idea. A crystal would be perfect. I would be careful what type to use however. I know some crystals have a very calming, almost supporific effect. :floating:

I would recommend either hematite, sodalite (that one MIGHT be a little calming), aqua aura (energizing), or citrine, which doesn't seem to react to women as much as it does men, but enhances creativity and concentration, in my experience.

I have a collection of crystals--- I have a clear quartz from elise, I have an amethyst I won at PPD, and I have a cage with unpolished hematite and pyrite from my cali trip in side----

My car was broken into before my cali trip and after that, I did the amythest and clear quartz for protection and have been adding to it when i go cool places or am given anything-- its kinda fun and its getting really prety with the different things hanging on it...

All of the above things look good.. and as a practical matter-dont leave any items in your car that you cant afford to lose. If you have to have cd's-make sure they are not the originals but burned copies. Dont leave items like a laptop, expensive camera, or your purse for example.

That way your car looks less attractive to theives.
