Flar's Freyja

Some of you are aware that I've been experiencing a great deal of stress and conflict on my "little" job. I am referring to my position as a job coach with a nonprofit agency that serves adults with disabilities. The person I serve is provided residential care from another nonprofit. Her residential staff managed to run off the job coach that she had for six years. They have indicated that they want the client out of our vocational program and I have gathered that this is because they want the hours they are losing each week. They have been playing petty little games, like writing me up for being three minutes late. This caused me to have a wreck on Monday. I was stressed over a traffic tie up that was going to make me late and ended up making an illegal turn to go around it. Thank Goddess neither of us was hurt and the lady I hit was so sweet - she didn't even want to call the police.
There was a team meeting two weeks ago. One of her residential staff tried to complain about the employer, but I reported a great deal of progress. Not only was the team ecstatic, but the client's guardian also offered to write a letter to thank the employer for their cooperation. It should also be noted that the client was in danger of losing that job when I started with her in February.
Since that meeting, her behavior has changed dramatically - for the worse. On Wednesday, it was so bad that she was given a writtten warning and sent home. On Thursday, I could see that she intended a repeat performance so we just took the day off. She has also been stressed to the point of being physically ill. She has IBS and it's been in flare this week. On Thursday morning, one of the managers reported to me that she had run into house staff and the client Wednesday evening and that house staff asked her if I had been yelling at the client and said that the client had said as much. This manager is already furious that they got the previous job coach transferred - little did house staff know that she was talking to the wrong person  My supervisor asked the manager to write this up and she stated "I got the feeling that she was trying to "dig up dirt" on Freyja."
We had an excellent day today. Right before we left the jobsite, her nose started running profusely. We went to get a treat for having a good day and she did not appear to feel well. I felt her forehead and it was a bit warm, so I thought that she was getting a cold.
I brought her home and while I was reporting her day to the same house staff, she called out to her from the bathroom. When she went to see what was wrong, she found that the client had vomited all over herself and had also had diarrhea, which was everywhere - and she got to clean it all up  She remarked that I should be grateful that she hadn't done it in my car.
Flar says that "karma is too damned slow" but in this case, it worked rather quickly, verdad? :D
