Dad's wife.....

Hey all,

I got word tonite that my Dad's wife's grandmother passed today. I'm pretty close with his wife and she's had a real bad year so far. Her ex died suddenly on New Year's Eve while he was with their kids, she's had some health issues and now her grandmother passed.

Although this passing is probably more of a relief than anything, she was real close to her. I know it was breaking her heart that her grandmother had been put into the nursing home and was getting worse and worse.

They are a very tight family and I know her kids loved their great-grandmother very, very much as well and after losing their father this year...well, this is just another blow.

So if you guys could just throw a little thought her way, I'd really appreciate it. I don't know if I will be going to the funeral yet...I don't have a great history with their family...(her and the kids yes, but the rest of the family, not really)...so I may not be able to be there for them.

Thanks guys. I feel bad, I won't be able to attend the funeral but I found out today that they got to see her on Easter Sunday and say a kind of "goodbye" to her then...so they are all in a good place about this. :)

I realized last nite that since November, she's lost her uncle, her ex and now her grandmother. Let's hope that's it for quite some time. :(
