Yesterday, I got the pleasure of having a few hours just for myself. So I decided to indulge myself with some shopping. I haven't done this in a while, so I thought it'd be a nice treat. Which it was, but something odd happened.
One of the stores in the mall I went to was the craft store. I'm currently planning on making my own BOS and needed some last minute items to complete it. I went over to the cutting table so I could get some ribbon. Now, my personal style of clothing is wearing tank tops, and some tend to be kind of low cut, but I usually wear them with a shirt over it so it doesn't look to "slutty" (my own personal term). The shrit wasn't the problem though, I wear two necklaces, one a gold necklace w/a heart pendant that my boyfriend gave me for my 30th b-day last year and the other is a black cord, w/my pentacle on it. The pentacle has a amythest (sp??) piece in the middle. The woman there seemed very pleasant, she cut my ribbon, and as she was printing out the receipt, she looked up at me. Well, her eyes went wide and she frowned and then would not look me in the eye when I asked her a question about some fabric. In fact, she started to walk away! Now, I can't be totally sure about this, but I do think she noticed the pentacle and was freaked out about it. Yes, I could've been my tank top, but she looked down right frightened! I also felt all this negative energy being thrown at me. It was odd. I've never experienced that before. I've been wearing my pentacle outright for about 3 months now, and the places where I thought would be trouble, nothing! Now this mundane little store, I get this. It was odd, but funny in a way too. Cause in the entire store, she was the only one I felt it from. I even signed up for a class there (quilting) and everyone else either didn't notice or didn't care.
