loved one lost to addiction

does anyone have any spells for a) encouraging someone to get help or b) healing addiction? my ex and i quit seeing each other due to his excessive drug use. he’s very lost right now and floats in and out of my life (i.e. i don’t hear from him for a couple of months and then he calls me for a week and a half multiple times a day and then drops off the face of the earth again). he’s very ambivalent about what he wants – every time i talk to him it’s a new plan – a band, a college, a dj job, a different college, delivering pizzas, a different town, a new band, living with his grandparents again etc etc. same deal concerning me – we’re best friends, we’re flirtatious, then i’m stood up. i miss the real him. about a month ago i did a blue candle healing spell, but i have yet to bury the remains. he’s gotten clean before (from crank) but he never was in a program like n.a. so he never learned to deal with the pain that makes him use in the first place. oy. please, wiser ones, give me guidance!

I am so sorry for your situation. Drug addiction is a ohysical addiction, not just mental or spiritual. It is also up to the person with the problem to ask for help. There very well may be a spell that could get a person through withdrawl but the person would have to truely want to and belive in themself and have guidence beyond what can be found here. Theres no easy fix. Sorry. This is a long difficult process that takes much will power on the part of the addict.

Perhaps people passed this thread because they didnt want to say this is something that cant be fixed with an online simple spell. He needs healing not a spell. He is sick.

Hamletincarnate, your ex will only change if he wants to. There is much you can do however to show him your concern, perhaps someone (a professional) could help with his problems which lead him to drugs, and assistance getting over the addition itself.

Magically speaking, you can send him healing energy, or ask the god and goddess to watch over him/protect him/heal him etc. Or you can burn a candle for him to help him find his way.

You can turn such things into a ritual or preform them regularly simply when thinking of him.

i think my question was unclear! ....i'm not naive enought to think some herbs and a candle were sufficient to knock the addiction out of a man. plus, he needs to go through the healing process or else he won't know how to deal with life and temptation. what i AM wondering, is if anyone knows any eye-opening spells or things like that that would serve as a nudge of "maybe i should hit bottom and get better".

tea leaf - i have done some healing spells, primarily blue candle-related. good idea about performing them regularly though. :) thanks.

any ideas welcome! my aim is to help him start thinking about making healthier choices - i quit doing his dirty work for him a while ago! ;)

From my own expirence the only thing that has woken up a person is often hitting rock bottom.

I didnt assume you where naive. I wanted be certain I was understood to the severity of the issue. I did not make any assumtions on a personal level. I just gave the most thourough and informed idea that I could. I believe, better to over inform with your ideas than under inform in some cases. I am sorry if I offended you.
Drug addiction is a very serious issue and I didnt want to reply, lacking.
