I just had a small panic attack because everything slowed down and then I couldn't get MW to open......so it got me wondering. Has MysticWicks ever gone down, and if so, for how long....and what would you do if it did?
I can't imagine what I would do if I couldn't log on for say....DAYS..... :hairraise
Now I have to chant "good karma..good karma....good karma"...just so I dont jinx anything

Not in a long, long, long time. :) I just restarted the web server process so you probably were caught in the middle. :)

My ISP was having server problems at one point and I couldn't log in while I was at home. That was the longest 7 hours I've ever spent before going to bed...

I've been here for a while so yeah, I've seen it go down :2G: One time it when down because an animal had chewed through a cord somewhere. Hehehe.

It was going really slow for me last night for about an hour. Couldn't get any pages to load. But I came back a little while later and everything was as right as rain. :)

A panic attack? :wtf: Maybe you should get offline for a while and read a book or something. ;)

I remember a few times when mol was upgrading and the site was closed for a bit. **shudders** Hope that never happens again. I can't function without my MW fix.

When you do an advance reply, under thread subscriptions, choose what type of email you want.

I was in a fight last night- about 06:40 local time (so, 00:40 eastern, 21:40 pacific) and MW stopped responding. I could traceroute to the server no problem so the network was ok, but I could not telnet to port 80 so it looked as if either the web servert had crashed or, it was hosted on a server with bandwidth throttling, or a multithreaded server with all the threads locked (but the last one is less likely).
So afaik MW crashed yesterday. But mol would confirm or deny that....

So can anyone confirm that last night, it was a turtle that chewed off port 80?

No log on anything. No bandwidth problems, no crashed Apache, logs say we had steady traffic. We didnt reach any apache child limits, nothing. Last night is a mystery indeed....for now.

Oh wait...I get it...you couldn't teleport, so you throttled back, and crashed into a multiheaded servant?
