____________The Bio of Twig___________________
I am known in the yahoo circles and elsewhere as The Druid of Peace. I am a Druidic healer, teacher and counselor of about 6 years now with a 25+ year background in general paganism and comparative religion. I am a solitaire and somewhat eclectic in my outlook of druidry as a whole so, I expect my views don't jibe with some others in this respect.
I belive that druids are the caretakers of the earth. Pure and simple. As such, I have attuned myself to the earth and that is where the source of my "Power" lies. The trees are the messengers between the earth and the gods, with their roots in the ground and their tops in the sky. Therefore, it is only natural that we venerate them, protect them, and learn to communicate and use them in our path to enlightenment.
Also, I belive that ALL things in this earth are infused with Spirit. Yes,even the rocks themselves for, they are THE integral part of the Earth, the very marrow of the bone so to speak. If you belive the Earth has spirit, it's a small jump to see my point.
Due to my past, I have chosen the Path of Peace. Everything I do, I do to try to be an example of this path. The ramifications of this are deep and this is THE hardest path [I think] to follow. To claim a path is one thing but, to try to live it daily makes you an example and you come under a LOT more scrutiny.
if you go through the threads here, you will get a much better idea of the path of a druid as a whole. My IMMENSE thanks to MAGGIE, the co-moderator of this forum, who gives the historical perspectives I don't have time to research properly!!!.
well,it seems this bio just got a bit out of hand, eh? So there you have it. Remember, this is how "I" see druidism. Ask 10 druids and you will get 15 answers!
Peace,
Twig
