Well, I just found out that one of the two kitties that I got my best friend for Samhain last year got hit by a car this morning. His brother Ben was yowling at my friend, and very antsy, and she didn't know what was wrong. Then she went outside. Jerry got hit right in front of her house. :( I am very sad. Jerry was the runt of the litter, and I insisted on taking him and Ben. I loved that cat.
Please send healing energy to my friend Sharon and Jerry's brother, Ben.

My sincerest condolances to your friend, and to you. I know how it feels to loose a beloved pet in that manner. My cat, splunker, was hit in front of my house in November of last year. It was a terrible thing to come to grasps with. We bundled her body, and brought her upstairs, I lay her on my altar, and did a farewell ceremony for her. I wrote her a letter, and put it in the blanket with her, put a rose in there with her, and a medicine pouch of mine. I filled the pouch with some cat food, a piece of rose quartz, my pentacle, and some catnip. Then, when the ceremony was over, I held her in my arms and wept like a baby for about an hour. Then my husband took her from my arms, and brought her to his parents house for burial in their yard. I couldn't even stand to go to the graveside to watch her be buried. I couldn't even stand up....I wept like crazy for about two weeks. My husband cried too...he said he was weeping like crazy at the burial..and his father had to help him dig the grave, because he couldn't see beyond his tears. I miss her terribly still. I've moved on...taken in two more cats...but nothing dulls the grief, except time. There is a cat in the neighborhood, who looks exactly like her...and every time I see that cat, it reopens the wound. But I know that she knew that I loved her...and I know she is happily chasing butterflies in the land beyond. I hope that your friend will come to the same conclusions about her cat, in time.
Blessings to you, and your friend, and to Jerry. May his spirit rest in peace.

Oh Kaylara! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I recently lost my kitty too! (due to poisoning... not exactly the same... but loss is loss) There isn't anything I can say that's going to make you feel better. Just know that you're in my thoughts...
:(
