I find the picture of Setekh in my avatar to be extremely attractive.

But, we're not alone in our attractions to the gods. Greek and Roman legends and myths are filled with it. As are who knows how many other religions. Even the Christians have nuns, who are considered the Brides of Christ.

OK...I know this is weird....but I've always had a strange attraction for the Arch Angel Michael. I don't know anything about him.....just that it started out with the love of the name Michael...then something about the Arch Angel Michael....sometimes, I have dreams that I miss him and I wake up feeling like I've lost something. I can't speak for everyone but I just kinda go by a 'feeling'. It's like the vibrational energy or something. I'm just really attracted to him. Of course, old statues and the way the Greeks saw Apollo contributes but I have my own image of the gods, I guess. Also, a bit of the attraction is b/c of the attributes that he stands for. Apollo is always depicted as a beardless young man or "ephebe". His attributes are the tripod, omphalos, lyre, bow and arrows, laurel, hawk, raven or crow, and fawn. Although often associated with the sun, Apollo is not really a sun god. Apollo is a god of healing, prophecy, the arts -- especially music -- and archery. Apollo mated with many women and at least two men, but produced few offspring, mostly sons. I even have the names for those who care to challenge. haha. Anyway, I think that's good for now.

...exactly... :lol: I've had this crush for a long time...ever since a young age but I was always kinda shy and scared about it. I figured that Artemis wouldn't like it too much seeing as she was my matron deity back then. The images of Apollo don't really attract me/turn me on so much though. lol

How I developed a crush…he has appeared to me more than once and well for lack of better words…he’s hot (boy am I feeding his ego :lol: ). That isn't the only reason...he makes me laugh, his personality, some of the darker qualties he has and many other things. Sometimes he hates to admit how compassionate and understanding he is. However, there have been times where I’ve needed a good kick in the rear to get me back on course. There have been times where he’s been too hard on me and apologized. I have a very special bond with him…I wouldn’t trade it for the world :)

well, Mars and Pluto are the planetary rulers of Scorpio, but for me, the Roman's Mars doesn't quite fit. Ares is much sexier. Mars is too dignified and warrior-like for me. Ares is just a blood-crazed dead-sexy god. i can just see him now.. dark eyes, brooding face, one of them loverly sculpted bodies, and not forgetting the leather, and a big sword. (make of that what you will) *drools* let's hope this isn't Ares calling me, cos that would be weird! i had figured as much. i'm not sure i could quite cope with four gods. Aset, Djehuti and Sobek are enough. Adding Ares to the scene.... things could get interesting. I'm not serious about Ares calling me. He does intrigue me, though. He's the only non-egyptian god who does. I'm rather narrow minded in my pantheonic view: egypt. He's the only one who's gotten a foot inside my egyptian radar. i find it bizarre. He's only turned up in stories though, like i know have two characters working with him (cos they're witches, so to speak). Actually, one works with Eris and Ares, but he's still there. Out of all the greco-roman gods, Ares is the only one i actually like.

*nods* I can be pretty narrow when it comes to pantheons. I don't really like mixing them...he doesn't like it either. Other pantheons haven’t lasted long…chosen or not. I’m very partial to the Greeks. However, I lean more towards the gods than the goddesses…haven’t figured out why.

i'll just have to preserve the memory of Ares in my mind. Not that i was an avid Xena fan. It was good at first, then it got weird. I remember my friend (big xena fan) getting me to watch some of the later episodes, and it got weird. Meh. Never watched it with any kind of loyalty or commitment

Cernunnos is far too much of a father figure to me for me to ever find him attractive, but I do have a thing for Pan. There's never a dull moment with him! that's the picture that comes closer to how she appeareaded in my mind the first timre she answered to my calling.

Three times, meditating with Her i've discovered Hermes hovering around...and twice on three they were...well,having sex in her candle-lit cave by the sea (where I usually visualize 'meeting' H ).
That happened in a moment I questioned the connection bt those two deities, so maybe it was their way to answer to me?

Or maybe I'ma freak, after all...I just got the sensation that they were friends-with-benefits...lots of intellectual affinity and commom interests, but in the end Hekate loves her solitude and Hermes his trickster-y freedom toomuch for a committed relationship.

I also think that Dionysus is quite possibly one of the hottest gods ever. No wonder he had all those female worshipers following him around all the time. I have a picture of a bust of him from the Royal Ontario Museum and I think it's my favourite picture from my trip there.

This has been going on for a long time, but I can't seem to get over my crush on Loki. I feel like he's some sort of rock star and I'm just a groupie/fangirl in the crowd hoping that he'll shake my hand or at least sign an autograph. I'd introduce myself, but I'm quite shy and sometimes I wonder why any god would bother talking to me *has no self-esteem issues...at all*.

I wouldn't want to leave the goddesses out, but I don't really crush on them like I do with the guys. I think Aphrodite's one of the few goddesses I've had a crush on, the other goddesses just seem more like friends to me. Oh, and I had a crush on Lilith once.
