how do you work the smilie faces?

Hey eveyone, obviously I know how to but a face next to my post but how do you put them in the post? Like say I wanted one "= )" right there. How do I do that? thanks

ummmm next to the word box were u type ur messages there should be a box of smilys or u might have disable smilies in this post activated

Oh that's easy. smilies are just a colon : and then a right parenthesis ) . Separated like that, they are simple punctuation. BUT--- type them right next to each other.. and voila -- :)
