Just a thought, dunno if it's been discussed before or anything, but what if someone is born one the moon? Or mars, or in space itself? How is anyone supposed to calculate a horoscope from that?

Good question! I was thinking a lot about this myself after we went to Mars! I guess the Moon would be the easiest planet to draw a chart from though... the Earth and Moon would simply "switch places" so to speak. A chart is drawn from Earth's perspective... so a chart drawn on the Moon would be from that perspective and the Earth would /appear/ to orbit the Moon... Earth would probably be given the qualities of Gaia in the horoscope, so instead of Mother Moon we'd have Mother Earth! :)

Now because we use the Moon in our charts here on Earth, that makes casting a chart for the other planets kinda tricky... After all if we were on Jupiter, would we still consider Earth's Moon when there's so many moons around Jupiter? One could probably create a whole system of astrology on Jupiter based just on the Moons!

Geez I must daydream too much at work... I've thought about this entirely too many times!

Well, I'm not even going to try to calculate anything like this myself, astrolog can put any planet in the centre for you, not sure if that includes the moon. Rather the interpretation of it is the problem, planets could have different influences from different distances (since we use our moon but not jupiters for eg). And the sun would have a reduced influence the further out you go. And what about between planets, on a space station, or between the stars, where there is no relevant planetary influence? We'll likely be colonising the moon and mars within the next centuary, so it's something ppl need to look into.
