I was reading a magazine a few days ago when I came across an article about an individual who called himself John Titor. Has anyone else heard about this guy? He appeared online in 2000, claiming to be a time traveller from the year 2036. He made a lot of claims about the future...one of the more chilling being that a Third (nuclear) world war would begin in 2015, and would kill billions of people. Both my boyfriend and I have been a little unsettled since reading that article, since some of the predictions John Titor makes are not that outlandish. In March of 2001, He posted that he was leaving our present to return to his own time, 2036. He was never heard from again.

Anyway, I was wondering whether anyone else knows anything about this, and if so, what are your opinions? Was this guy just a nutcase, getting a kick out of lying to people online? Or is it within the realms of possibility he could have been telling the truth?

NB I'm not trying to scaremonger or anything, just interested to see what the rest of you MWers think.

This notion that he spoke of 9:11 and the sedond Gulf War "without actually referring to them... what we have here is Nostradamus syndrome. You can read anything into the words of a "prophet" if you want to believe.

since I am certain "there is a time for every purpose" then it's good for people to believe what they want,if it "harms none"What you believe is your true will and it is your connection to divine.
In the words known as "the lords prayer" of the dead sea scrolls (probably the bible Jesus wrote or at least it was around the time he lived) does not say "deliver us from evil" it's "keep everything away from me that would divert me from my true will"
I am seeking wisdom so this website did not divert me from my true will it gave me hope of "wonders in the world"(quote from one of my favorite Rush songs).
I have no way of knowing if he is a time traveler but we are on the path of knowing.
Scientist were experimenting with shooting protons and noticed that gravatrons disapeared and reapear.Nothing can do that so they theorize that they went into another dimention.
A hundred years ago people thought telephones were magic now alot of people have cell phones
We are only begining to understand the DNA in our blood.Since we look like our ansestors it is possible that there could be microscopic memory chips smaller that a quark that we might acess.
Only living people can create a war.This person is not of our dimention because his time frame has not happened yet.
Perhaps one can see it as sad that his dimention had a horrible war but think about a black hole sucking and destroying and the dark matter expanding the universe causes the universe to be.so how can it be bad?If we focus on our little bit of it and make it good.
I was scared 9-11 would put us into a nuclear war.Perhaps this(both the prediction,9-11,the wars that are going on now....) are a wakeup call for us to send peace energy into the world as we sent healing energy to the ozone. blessed be

Yes. You will be forced to ask yourself how many civil rights you will give up to feel safe.


Will you readily be able to identify the enemy?

They will be the ones arresting and holding people without due process.

War is still a fact of life on this globe, and those types of behaviors occur across the board. I don't like Bush, but that can still be translated to fit the current facts, whatever the current facts might have been. Meh.

The United States counter attacks. The US cities are destroyed along with the AFE (American Federal Empire)...thus we (in the country) won. The European Union and China were also destroyed. Russia is now our largest trading partner and the Capitol of the US was moved to Omaha Nebraska.

If I remember correctly, there is no more Russia.

Hmmm..well I went and did some reseach on this man. I have the sense he is a nutter. You can go and read any number of books on Nostrdamus and other prophetic writing on line and in libraies. I can go and say I am from the future and spout all manner of things I have looked up before I presented myself. Sadly this guy, where ever he may be is a bit of as I said a nutter. Sighs.

I wonder, if this guy and his time machine were for real, supposedly developed by GE, wouldn't the company stomp all over any attempt he made to show the machine and how it works? Didn't he mention that the research for this had already started by now?

Why did he come back here if he 'refused' to tell about the future and then spread vague predictions all over the place?

The guy who turned me onto this site believes that there is a 50% chance that John Titor was part of the Intelligence Community. He knew what was up with the Bush regime, & he wanted to warn people. So he cooked up the time travel story, (which nobody would believe), as a cover to explain what was coming down.

If he went back in 2001 (or whatever), then who is paying for the site's registration and bandwidth and all that.
