After reading "what we do to the earth and others we do to ourselves" in Raven Grimassi's book Wiccan Magick,I got to wondering how one should deal with emotions. For example;when someone does something mean I feel angry. If I feel anger then I am putting that energy into the world If I deny it I am putting falseness into the world.
how do you deal with evil?

There is no real way to stop evil from flowing in trhe world. A balnce is made between good and evil. To have good you have to have the other. Sadly, it is the way of the Universe. But doing good for others and being a caring and kind individual can help the flow of positive enrgies into the world.

You cannot deny your emotions. somedays you are gojng to be angry and some days sad. How you deal with these emotions is the key. Handling anger so it does not become rage. Taking care of sadness before melencholy sets in. We as human beings are emotinal people. They Who Care and Create made us this way. For if we had no emotions, life would be flat and boring and not worth much in my mind.

What you put out comes back to you and according to the Wiccan Law of Three, this is what happens. So as I said. Think happy, do goos things and when you do have anger or sadness, manage it the best you can. This is life as it is for us on this planet we call Home. Blessings to you.

Unfortunately, anger is a part of life. It just depends on how you've decided to handle your anger as to whether or not you create balance.

You should absolutely, always identify your feelings and find a way to vent them in a non-retaliatory way. To ignore them or deny yourself proper 'closure' on a situation will breed more unstable emotions. On the other hand, to handle them in a way that would spread negative energy to others is not constructive, either.

I think this is probably something that LOTS of people have a hard time dealing with (myself included) so don't feel like you're missing something.

You should express your emotions.

To control one's self... ah...

I understand that I have emotional issues. I'm not the most balanced mentally. I understand this. And I do all in my power to correct it. it's a long process... sometimes it feels life long.

I feel that the "Meaning of Life" (tm) in addition to being "42" (tm) ;) ... is to learn. to experience... to grow. I take all of these things that the Fates are throwing at me and try to deal with them the best that I can. Sometimes this means that I feel negative. I try and handle it.

Other option... becom Buddhist! :D

I shall amend to include that just holding your emotions in all the time is very unhealthy. Can we say ulcers? It'll lead to more issues. Deal with them when you can, in an appropriate situation.

your right that holding them in creates health problems,my nerves are a mess.My psycologist told me to see a hynotist to have memories removed because noone could ever deal with what I've been through.
Do you think I should allow myself to be brainwashed?
I'm a musician and peot so I express my emotions and they don't just go away is there some way to make them?
blessed be,thanks for the advice!

I think having your memories blocked is a very bad idea. These things always have a way of surfacing and you dealing with them then will only be harder.

My advice, find a new psycologist who is willing to do their job, which is to help you work through your problems not have them surpressed.

Ditto. What your psychologist suggested seems terribly unprofessional, not to mention unethical.

It's like Dragonsinger said -- without evil there can be no good. You have memories of bad experiences, but they help you appreciate true beauty, even if only on a subconcious level.

I agree with what was said about your psychologists advice because even if those memories are blocked, they will resurface, and with a vengance. I personally blocked out memories from my past so that I on the conscious level forgot about them, but "I" as in my spirit/soul still knew they were there, and all it took was a bad experience to "open the flood gates". Its better to deal with them now a little at a time then to try to force them away and have them decide how and when you will deal with them. (Just for clarification, by them I mean the memories)
