I bought a honeydew sage last month and it was doing fine until about three days ago. Now it is almost dead! I repotted it right after purchasing it. It is in direct sunlight for at least 5 hours a day. I water it morning and night while the temperatures are getting above 100. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? thanks so much for your time.

Sage plants usually prefer full sun but I'm wondering if the temp is getting too hot for it? Can you move the pot to a shadier spot? When you say almost dead, are the stalks brown & brittle or are they still green but limp?

The stalks are brown and brittle, but they have always been a little "twiggy". Is it too late for the poor dear?

Hmmm...it's always worth the try. You might want to cut off the brown brittle bits. Are there any green at the bottom? Also, have you been feeding it? Try giving it some plant food, diluted further by about 50%. Give it a little bit of water first before giving it the plant food. That way, the fertilizer won't scorch the roots. Even though the top may appear dead, if the roots are still ok, it may come back.
