I've been seriously contemplating a tattoo for months, magically tied in with my second degree work and work with the Morrigan.

I've been tooling around with designs, and so far this is my favorite... whatcha think?

Photoshop was tweaking out on me and wouldnt' let me use the 'color balance' function. The feathrs are supposed to be blacker, with just a faint blue gleam, and the crescent moon the brightest blue on there.

Where would you put it? For some reason location to me is just (if not more) important that the art itself.

I'm still torn between my ankle or my hip, near the "swimsuit line" where I could show it offif I wanted or keep it hidden if I wanted.

Part of it will depend on how the next week with the folks goes. (there's a thread in JT about it.) IF I end up totally on my own, I won't care whatthey think... if there's still money issues, they'll flip and give me a miserable time about it.

I think it would look great in either of those places, depending upon size...dang, I'm picky! But you will have to talk to a really good tattoo artist, because sometimes they can have a hard time with blacks and darker blues together...after awhile they tend to fade or blend into each other.

I vote the hip..your reasoning is very sound for that location. I love the design!

Peace!

I've got the name of the best artist in town... five of my friends have had him do work, in color, solid black, and black 'shading'. His work holds up very well and he's got a great manner. (I went with my best friend to get hers done.)

Size would be about an inch and a half across by two and a half tall, I think

I keep leaning towards the hip... I guess my biggest worry is weight gain/weight loss. I'm about 30-40 pounds heavier than I really feel healthy being and I'm trying to slowly lose it. Would it affect the tattoo very badly if I gained or lost that amount of weight over time? Seems like that area would be a lot more touched than my ankle. Anyone have any experience with this?

Or I suppose suggestions of other good places to get them that can be equally covered or revealed. I don't want it anywhere on my back because its' something I want to see daily as a reminder of the pledge I've made and I'm just plain not that flexible ;)
