This afternoon i decided i needed some peaceful time alone, away from the world.
I found a completely deserted, beautiful beach. It was warm and sunny, but with quite a strong sea breeze, very cleansing.
No people, buildings, amusements or roads nearby, and no sound except for the sea, the wind and the seagulls - bliss!
I held my own Lammas ritual, i had nothing special with me because the afternoon was totally unplanned, but i spoke to the Goddess, my guides, the sea and the wind.
I walked for miles, still no-one around, and collected the most beautiful seashells. Then i watched the sun setting over the wild, open countryside adjoining the beach. So very peaceful.
Driving through the island on my way home I had to keep stopping because there were lots of baby peacocks and pheasants wandering on the country lanes, and rabbits darting around all over the place.
I love days like this, a gentle reminder of how beautiful the world can be.
