Hi there. I'm Stephanie - I'm brand spankin' new to Mystic Wicks, and I'm a Celtic Christian. <Listens for a resounding "HI STEPHANIE!" from the community, while praying that nobody smacks her for joining a pagan community when she isn't even a pagan.>
I've been lurking through the message boards here for a while, and I've been planning this Introduction message for a couple of weeks, wondering when the "right time" would be. Apparently, now's the right time, because here I am. Let's hope I made a good choice!
First things first: I'm normal, and I'm not here to pick on anyone. I'm here for the same reason everyone else is - for community. And also because I've felt a burning need to write a message here for the last couple of weeks (no, not some religious rant designed to attack pagan spirituality or anything of that nature - I don't do that kind of thing at all).
In addition to being a Celtic Christian, I'm a writer and the mother of one teenaged daughter who is soon to turn nineteen (which makes me *old,* obviously <g>). I'm a major coffee and tea freak; I love Absolutely Fabulous (sweetie dahling!); I enjoy cooking, gardening, travel, Murder She Wrote, reading of all kinds, and a million other things.
I'm currently working on a book project, so I'm not online as much as I wish I could be... but the project is meaningful, so I'm having fun with it (Celtic spirituality & mysticism), and I have a Celtic religious themed website in development. I've been studying the Celtic traditions for about 20 years.
To end this introduction - I'd just like to say that I hope that it's okay with all of you that I'm here. I hope that once you get to know me and hear a bit more about what brought me to Mystic Wicks, you'll understand why I decided to join, and maybe I can be a beneficial part of the community in some way.
Looking forward to meeting you!
