message to the gods

I need some help. how would I be able to communicate with the gods
ive never been any good at meditating or anything like that.
as you lot are a lot more experienced then me so I was hoping somebody will know.

Why don´t you just "speak" to one? Okay, of course, there are some who like to play with you and others are more acceptant like parents... Which pantheon do you work with? Is there any mother- or fatherlike god/ goddess? Or one you would see as a protecting character? That should be the first to talk to. If you want to feel good about it and honor them, just try to find out, what offerings your god likes. Most like natural things, like flowers or stones... some like jewelery... you will find out. Maybe you want to use insence or a candle´s smoke and light to call your god. Welcome your god nice and honest (remember to speak the truth). Then talk to your god about what you want and later say thanks for listening. You might not hear a voice as an answer. You might not even feel the presence. But be sure, there comes a time...

Liliana offered you good advice. So you don't have a particular god/dess to whom you talk? You can read up more on the different gods and goddesses from around the world if that interests you. Or just honoring a general God or Goddess is fine too. Whatever suits your fancy! It's spring time- as Liliana suggeted, how about some flowers for a deity.

If you are having problems meditating, maybe you are too anxious. Try relaxing more. Also, meditation doesn't come the first time that you try. Sometimes these things take time, so be patient.

i try it to meditate again tonight I just hope I don't fall asleep :zzz:

I don't worship a certain God/Goddess....at least not yet. However, for the last......2 weeks I've been performing my own little ritual. Everyday when I walk through the forest near my house, I place a stone on a tree stump, followed by a silent prayer. There's a pretty big pile of stones there now.... :P

Speak "loudly" in your head, as if to a person, dont shout, just up the volume over your normal thought level. I guess thats the best way to put it. Think of what your speaking to, direct it towards the dieties energy, and speak loudly. Over time you wont have to project so much because youll be more intune with the god. *note, you get more in tune with the diety, not they with you as one of my friends tried to convnce me ;)*

I also found meditation and visualisation difficult and still do!
You really have to empty your mind and concentrate, which I am hopeless at.

You could also try Divination.

If you have any questions, phrase them to the diety before the Divination is performed. That's what I do when I cast my Runes, anyway.
