Well, not RIGHT next door, but only like 40minutes away :p
I've been researching martial arts, and what they follow, and was trying to decide on a form to eventually learn, I decided on Aikido, well I was doing a search for Aikido schools, and not only did I find one, not only is it REALLY close, not only can it trace it's lineage back to the creator of Aikido, but it offer EXACTLY the kind of program I've been looking for, something where I can completely absorb myself into the art and learn to better myself.
Basically, they offer a program where you live at the Dojo, help maintain it, and learn the art, your life becomes one with the practice of Aikido...
This is JUST what I need, I am tired of drifting through life without a purpose, I've been wanting to just devote myself to turning inward, focusing, learning dicipline, and exploring myself and my spirituality (hence why I was looking at learning a martial art), and this program would allow me to do JUST that...
I sent the people who run it an email asking for more information, if they reply back witht eh kind of info I'm looking for it, I might just go for it... as I've been kinda having a hard time in school (it's getting really intense, and I'm trying my hardest, but I don't know if I'll make it), and I've been REALLY wanting to take time for ME.
My father probably won't like the idea(a lot of money has been put into my schooling, technically not HIS money, it's from a trust fund that belongs to me, my sister, and my cousins, but still...), but this is for ME, not him... (only problem, I'll have to figure out a way to pay back the loans I owe, but that's minor, I'm sure I'll be able to handle it.
Wow, I can't believe I found what I'm looking for, and it's right here! (I was actually considering moving to Japan to be able to do something like this, now I'd only have to move 40minutes from my family)... It's strange when opportunity just reaches up at the right time and smacks you across the face :D
