Ok, with the number of people who post on here it occurs to me we might have a celebrity or two among us. SO, here is your chance to fess up. Now I’m not saying you have to say WHO you are, unless of course you want to ruin your political career… But you can if you want, really all you need to do is “vote” in poll.

There was a website that was dedicated to finding out who i was! The story goes like this! I love sppedway and was at the speedway grandprix at cardiff, as I was cheering I was jumping up and down, with a low cut top on! Suddenly some TV cameras foucsed on me and my mate screams 'Tasha, your top' I look down and realise that I was flashing!

My grandfather was the original lead singer of Blood, Sweat, And Tears. But He left the group before fame(what an idiot!) I hope to be a famous children's author one day.(does that count?) I've already written some stories, but they've only been published in the newspaper.

Way back when, my family owned a very well known country night club in florida. We used to have lots of famous country musicians perform there and I would get to hang with them. My uncle was the leader of the house band, so he also used to open for alot of country concerts around Florida. I used to get to go to those and hang back stage too :)

I'm a published author of a fantasy series. :D I've had a dual interview with Christopher Paolini for the Austin American Statesman (capital of Texas newspaper), been in the Round Rock Leader newspaper, and my book raised funds for buying heart defibrillators for local school children. I've also done multiple book signings at bookstores, school, book festivals, etc. Right now I'm laying low, though, since there's no point setting up events when you're family is moving.
Then my father invented a mouse that is also a cell phone, and there's an article in the New York Times about him and the other people who worked on it.
So I just voted locally. :)

My great uncle off my father's side is named Jamse Richardson who used to build boats by hand. He made two replicas of the DOVE adn has a museum named after him.
AS for me I've met Mr adn Mrs Eisenhower adn helped them do lighting in adn addition adn was invited over for tea afterwards. And I kknow Marla Baines ( Harolds Baines wife ( the former O's Ball player ) ) and their two kids. Again I helped them do lighting in the house they built about 7 years ago In a town near here. She is thinking about doing a candle party but is a little too busy with the end of the school year adn the kids.
But no one knows me personally.

I used to live near Savage Garden and went to there school. Most of my teachers taught one of them. Also a few not widely know actors from australian drama. The Aussies here on the board might know them and maybe some English but I'm not sure if the shows are aired in the US.

but on another note, I'm related to Mary Todd Lincoln (and can say insanity is hereditary...hehe), President Franklin Pierce, and I'm sure other people...

All of you have such neat ancestries! My ancestors aren't famous at all.. they're infamous! It's sad, because our family rug is of a murderer. In England he murdered someone and then fled to the USA to escape being beheaded. :hehehehe: The other ancestor was so long ago that he's probably one of the first Bloods. Colonel Blood and a few companions attempted to steal the royal jewels of England. Colonel Blood was caught, and wouldn't speak with anyone but the king. When he did, the king was amused and not only pardoned him, but gave him expensive land. :D I think he was also involved in several kidnappings, but this was the first time he had been captured.
Oddly enough, our family is very proud of our ancestry.

I just recieved an order for art prints from Switzerland....
and had one last month from Australia -
so does that make me world wide? Guess so *wink*
ya know though...perhaps this is good thread to drop this question.
Why do this celeb thing bother me so much?
When you get right down to it...I am no one from no where special. Not any more gifted or talented than anyone else here. And I mean that...I am NOT begging for applause atall.
But sometimes when I'm on the road - traveling for artist signing gigs....and people approach me, I find it uncomfortable. Why is that?
I usually tell them "hey..we all put our pants on the same way..one leg at a time." trying to tone down the "Wow....is it really You?"...thang.
You guys know me...
I'm as down to earth as rain.
But sometimes when I tell someone "hey Im not that special" I can see the dissapointment in their eyes. Like they WANTED me to Be special. And then I feel like I've let them down by being ordinary.
It's weird I tell you. And I really need to get a grip on all this and soon. Handle folks with compassion and appreciation and not prick their bubbles.....
for my schedule next year is even busier than this one.
Suggestions? I'm so glad someone else brought this up. What a horses ass I would have appeared to be if I'd had to start my OWN thread stating "hey...having trouble with the Celeb thing- help?"
LMAO
think about it...how pitiful would that have been?
so once again My Mystic Wick family...I am in your hands...
all ideas welcome.
and if you don't understand what I'm trying to say here and I throughly disgusted you with my honesty I am sorry...I really don't think I'm "all that and a bag'o'chips" Okay?
thanks you guys...how sad I would be if I lost your counsel.

sabrina, i have to say...i've met several 'famous' people. in the work i do, that tends to happen. sometimes its thrilling to go home and tell my husband who i saw come in that day...and he's like me in that when we've met famous people in ordinary settings, we have not approached them or caused a fuss. i've treated them with the same respect i do everyone...graciously offering assitance and if they refuse, then i move on.;) i try to have the most respect for a persons personal life as possible...and i can understand how weird it can make you and other famous people to be approached in any other manner.

Well, I used to be in RI's professional ballet company that performs at the large theatres in the state, so a lot of times when I mention this, people will be like "Oh! I probably saw you in The Nutcracker!" or what have you. I was also on TV and in various local newspapers for ballet related stuff, too.

<<<<<great great grand niece of Gen. George S. Patton (Old Blood and Guts) and mother is desended from John Paul Jones.
Was really interesting on Veteran's Day in high school. I had to interview a bunch of veterans that had come to do a presentation for the senior class for the school paper. When I told them my last name was Patton and yes, I was related to the General, I got vigorous handshakes from all and was surprised to learn that a couple of the gentlemen had served under the General. I was granted permission to sit in the auditorium for awhile and listen to some interesting anecdotes about life serving under "that crazy sob!" :kooky:
