View Full Version : A rant, my views, and an eventual point

*DISCLAIMER*
I realize most of this probably won't make sense to any of you in any way. However, I have different beliefs, mine tend towards the science fiction rather than the mystical, so I tend to think of all possible things in those terms. If you don't care about this, I don't at all mind. I just felt like posting it for the heck of it.

My belief system would have the Ether and the Universe as the all-powerful and divine, in a sortof Father-Son setup. The Ether is the infinite dimension, with its roots in mathematics, quite soundly provable. My belief is that it holds all possible concepts that exist in the Universe, which works from the Ether on down to dimension zero. It's like a Spring of Life for Everything.
Because the Ether exists, it's quite clear, logically and philosophically, that EVERYTHING exists. ALL the Gods and Goddesses, all the particles of quantum physics, and an infinite amount of things we know nothing about. Vampires, skeletons, and ghouls, to visit the 'darker' side. All things exist.
Spells cast magickally, therefore, do not require spells to counter them. By this view, since all things exist including magick, and the human mind is capable of understanding them, I believe the mind is stronger than mere spells, if developed right.
I suppose this theory's going to be tested. Some insane girl who I already care about as a good friend has suddenly decided to screw with things by casting a love spell. Now, I don't know if she intends to really do it or not, but I intend to fight off whatever it is without any spells or magick for help. I suppose this is a test of the human mind - something I'm always happy to engage in.
Now for the ranting part:
What kind of joke is this, anyway? I mean, what do you guys and girls (men and women) think? I personally think that someone casting a spell on you without your permission warrants some serious anger, and maybe even the termination of a previously good friendship/relationship. IF she can even pull it off - heh, a while back I got involved in a little astral-planar conflict. I was on her side, I beat up a demon, she ought to know I'm stronger than a friggin' spell.
The point, of course, is that casting spells should not be done lightly and without some real thought. If she doesn't cast the spell, then all's well and good. If she tries, she'll be beaten as soon as it hits my mind. And I'll be pissed if I find out she tried it. Chances are that I wouldn't know what it was, I'd just annihilate it, so I'd have to find out in order to be certain.

Donno about your reasoning at some points in there, I think I got lost :)

Last time someone cast a spell on me without my permission they felt the karmic repercussions quite quickly with the aid of a very protective friend of mine. Mind you the person involved attacked my father and familiar and I have no qualms, they deserved anything they got. Anyone who casts a spell against your wishes will feel the karmic repercussions, and in your case lose a friendship (evidently a big karmic repercussion in itself).

You're all welcome to have as many as you like. I know a goblin from a planet just outside our solar system who can make chips appear anytime he wants to.
If you got lost halfway through, don't worry, because it wasn't supposed to make sense :)
Who's with me for taking a little trip over to Planet X for some chips'n'dip?

Only during the 483rd to 575th rotations in the planet's year, Mystique. We'd better hurry, it's already the 574th.

a friend of mine was once trying to explain magick to me (when I first got into this kind of thing), and he asked me to explain to him how a light switch turns on the light bulb. Well, I did, you know, flow of electricity and all, and he smiled and said "I could say it in a way that many people would accept, in one word. 'It's magic.'" and I just kind of grinned and his point was this: magick is just science that hasn't been discovered yet. I mean, when electricity was first discovered, people were freaking out and calling it magic and devil's work and stuffs, ne? and then eventually it was discovered as a science, and we began to understand it just enough to kind of explain it, and voila! it's no longer some evil magic, it's a wonderful new science! hehe. . .

Did you know that they've discovered that crystals, when kept with a person long enough, actually "tune" to them and "vibrate" at the same frequency as that person, and that each person's is different? and you could actually identify which crystal was next to which person? It's interesting.

well anyways, thought I'd add that.

Hey, got any chips that aren't with flavouring? ^^;; can't stand that stuffs. I've got tater tots if anyone's up for those hehe

I don't feel that a "love spell" could get past the "harm none" clause.......might want to tell your friend to be careful what she wishes for, she might get it.

As for magic, it's real , it works, there is no "why" there just "is" kinda like no matter how hard you try, eating cheetos gets orange stuff everywhere.
