Merry Meet-
My name is Vanessa and I am a solitary practitioner. Being that I am learning (and as I look at it, will always be learning about the world and my religion until I rest) more and more about Wicca, I figured I would post a message inquiring any input, encouragement, words of advice... from all of you. I would love to hear from all of you. Tell me how you became one with Wicca and/or what helped you to become the Wiccan you are today. I try to incorporate Wicca into my everyday life and would love to hear about how you all incorporate it into your own day. I'd really enjoy anything you can give.
Thanx in advance,
Vanessa

Welcome:):):) Pleased to meet you!

I came upon this path in my teens(about 15 yrs ago) I wasn't mature enough at that time to listen to my heart and some of the unususal things that were happening to me at that time, scared the poop out of me. :)
Anyways, I stumbled back upon it a year or so ago and now I understand where I am meant to be and what I am meant to be doing.
I did some deep searching and realised one day that my whole life has been pagan based, I just never knew there was a name for the things I felt and did and they way I looked at the world.
Now, I have finally found peace in a sense.
I belong.

I remember my grandmother(bigbiblethumper) chastising me for telling her that in my next life...... I wanted to come back as a cat.
She then laid into my mother.
She wasn't fond of whatever ideals she felt my mother was raising me with, and my mom told her that she had not said anything of the sort to me. This was something I had decided all on my own. :D:D

I remember all sorts of neat things like that through my childhood, now I have answers to them all. :):):)

Peace and blessings to you in your future and wherever it may lead you.

Again, Welcome to the greatest place on earth. Mystic Wicks.

Ya know, I am 33 yo and I am just figuring out my way :)

I was raised Catholic and never felt like I fit in that belief system. Like Reanna (btw, I thought your story was great, hon!), my thoughts and actions were Pagan, I just didn't know it yet. I started out researching and learning the ways of Wicca, but that didn't feel 100% right either. Just recently I started to focus on the Green Witchcraft path.

Being so new, I am not sure I have any encouragement or wise advice except to stay strong in your beliefs. And ask any questions you have here. This is a great group of people!

Oh and help yourself to the goodies and lemonade on the porch :)

Seekers Seek.

That's the only advice I can give besides "listen to your heart"

May the Gods bless you on your journey.

I got into witchcraft, after me and my friend watched some witchcraft movie. We were only young bucks and we went and got books on spells. We skipped through most the book and just tried the spells. Which really didn't work at all. So that was the end of that. But as she went down the path of Christianity, I started going down the path of Wicca. (Although she doesn't know....she'd flip*L*) beginning of this year I wondered off the wiccan path to Witchcraft. And thats that! *heh*

My advice (as corny as it sounds) follow your heart. Never let anyone tell you what to believe or what to do. Its your life never let anyone put you down for it. Nothing is true but everything is possible.

Blessings

Though always drawn to Paganism in general, I stepped onto the path for real about 3 weeks ago. I became interested by reading S. Cunningham's "Wicca, S A Solo Practioner's guide" after seeing it in a Pyramid Collection catalog, and becoming curious. My wife and I have been searching for a couple years for our path and finally (thru "junk mail" ) we found it.

Merry Meet All-

I can't thank you all enough for responding so quickly and so friendly to my message (I can tell I already will fit in here amongst all of you).

Like so many of you said, my whole life I have felt like I was different until I realized that what I was feeling was my inner Wicca coming out. I know I was born to be Wiccan. I feel so comfortable with everything that it encompasses. But being that I am a solitary practitioner (and have almost every book by Scott Cunningham including the Guide for the Solitary Practitioner --- hehehe MoonCrow) I have no one to share my Wiccan feelings and thoughts with and no one to practice my beliefs with.

I am a 19 year old college student and have been studying Wicca for 7 years and practicing for little over 1. I know a lot about the origins of Wicca (to a certain extent), the principles of Wicca, have done many spells (which always work), and have become a very good tarot reader also. But I still feel like I am not 100% comfortable with everything.

My roommate (and best friend) is seriously looking at Wicca also. The only problem is that she is turning to me for answers to her many questions. I don't want to give her wrong answers but instead I want to really help her along her way. For the past year she has listened to my experiences with Wicca and have searched within herself and has found that she too might be cut out to be a part of this wonderful religion.

All in all, your thoughts, stories, and advice have gave me all the encouragement I need to keep studying. You are all so wonderful. Please feel free to contact me anytime:

I would love to hear from you, and share feelings along my path to Wicca.

Blessed Be-
