Garnet

Lately, everything I read seems to mention a garnet as a correspondence to whatever it is I'm interested in. Garnet is also my birthstone. So I started thinking I would like one.

Yesterday I went to a store for the first time, and the store had a wonderful feeling to it inside, it made me just want to stay and hang out. :) While I was there, I bought myself a small garnet. While I held it in my hand, it made my hand all tingly. During the drive home, while it was in the bag, my hand was still tingly. I'm a newbie and have never had that happen with a stone (or anything) before. I was wondering if I was imagining it, or if the shop had really great energy, or if I connected with it because it was my birthstone or because I am learning more and more and embracing my new path, or what.

I would love to know more about garnets, if anyone has anything to share.

Garnet is a power with great energy. Whenever I'm very tired I like to hold and wear a garnet. Just looking at that incredibly deep vibrant red colour makes me feel good. Recently I bought a garnet cabochon and I made a pendant of it. The colour is so deep that is appears black but when the light strikes over it so get to see this deep warm red colour I love so much.
It is my birthstone too, which is probably why I like it that much.

Nope, you're not alone, I get that with crystals all the time now!
At first it was just with one specific lump of rose quartz, but now its with all crystals and even beach-pebbles! :D Stick with it!

Lately I have compared myself to a butterfly...going through a period of metamorphasis in my life. The idea of "awakening" fits right in. :)

I'm kinda jealous. Garnet is my birthstone but I've never felt much of an attachment for it. I seem drawn to ametheyst and moonstone. Perhaps it's the capricorn part of me being that I'm a Aquaricorn. hehe

Same here Ororo. Try rough garnet as opposed to polished.

I have a rough piece still in matrix that I absolutely adore!

You may want to watch out when wearing garnet as you may attract unwanted attention from amourous people. (Although this could be good if you're in a relationship.) :D

My birthday is January 22nd. I believe Aquarius begins on Jan 20th or 21st...so I thought that made me on the cusp as well. Although from everything I've read, I'm very much an Aquarian! :)

I love garnets. I have two very pretty polished ones Rubyrose sent to me from OZ. I am thinking of doing a jewlery piece with them. Just need some inspiration. I just love it when the stones talk to you.

I love my garnets sooooo very much. I am an Aquarius too, and I live in ID where they can be mined :)

We also have the star garnets here, that are like a starburst inside.

I use mine for warnings, I find that it actually changes colors, gets almost a glow when I need to be more cautious of something.

I can't imagine not having one :)

Hope, the star garnet sounds beautiful! I'd love to see a picture of one sometime! I'm also drawn to celestial things, so that just sounds so neat!
