One thing I am very interested in is the Religions of the Celtic peoples. They are as varied as the Celtic tribes that made up the Celtic Nation. Personally I'm stuck on the Welsh Celtic Trads right now. Anyone have any other suggestion as to which Religion we should start with? If not then I say we start with the Welsh!

I am interested in learning about any Celtic religion. I find them all fascinating, but have not studied any of them enough to feel able to really contribute to a discussion about them. I do know about Celtic mythology, though, so that might help me a tad! :)

Great !! Let's get started...

Anyone besides me and Mairwen read the Mabinogion? If not here is a place on the web where you can read them or download them to read later:

Also - The Mabinogion is not the only source of Welsh Mythology. A lot of the tales were first written in The Red Book of Hergest. If any of you know where to find a copy of this on the web - please let me know as I haven't been able to find it yet. It is also rather expensive to order a copy at Barnes and Noble!

Hi!
I found a site called Books for Scholars. I didn't look around too much, but they had a listing for a book that includes the Red BOok of Hergest.
The link is http://www.booksforscholars.com
Hope it works!

Hi all!
(Raises hand)I've read it,just finished The Mabinogion tonight!
BTW,The History Channel ran a show tonight on The History of Britain. It wasn't very good on older stuff, going from 3000BCE to Julius Caesar in 30 minutes. It did touch upon a few things celtic, but just a few.A lot of time was spent on The Battle of Hastings.

That site certainly had a good range of books. *drool and slobber!* But most of them are awfully expensive. :(

This is a good place to look if you'd like to buy the book but I was thinking of a site that contains the whole text itself. I am interested in reading it without having to buy it right now. I'm sure others would like to as well. Plus if anyone finds a site where the whole text is complete then we could study it together.
