Well I made a little ritual for lammas and I ended up getting weirded out by it and not doing it. Everytime I write rituals or whatever, I start to feel stupid or get weirded out somehow. And circle casting is a bit odd too, I never feel like Im really doing something, and acting all formal saying "the lady and the lord" messes me up a but too, it just doesn't sound right to me. I know some of you might say then maybe this isn't the right path for me but I do find it really interesting, and like the company of these people and I don't really want to be christian anymore, so what should I do? (ps I have been leaning towards wiccan, if that helps anyone)

Don't think about it, feel about it, the "wierded out" feeling is your mind telling you this is nonsense, don't listen to your own self talk, empty your mind of doubts, and open your mind to the realm of possibility

Try doing it without circle casting. You don't necessarily have to, you know.

I don't think it makes any real difference if you cast circles, light candles or whatever else you do in a ritual, or if you do nothing except talk to the Goddess. If you like to do all that, fine, but if it feels strange to you, don't do it. I feel the intent is just as valid.
If i'm with other people at a Grove gathering I'll happily join in the ritual, but it doesn't make any difference at all to the validity of it.
I don't follow any particular rules or guidelines, i just do what feels right. My Lammas ritual was just me talking to the Goddess on a deserted beach. I'm sure she heard me.
BTW, I'm not Wiccan, so I don't know if it's any different for them.

I get what you mean. I'm not one for being ceremonious either, I end up feeling silly or pretentious. Try being simple, do whatever feels right. There's no set way of doing these things and if something is in no way meaningful to you, why do it? The whole point is connecting, isn't it? Do that in whatever way seems most natural to you.
Also, there are many paths and variations on these things. Being wiccan or pagan doesn't require saying "lord and lady" when addressing Diety or anything like that. It's very unstructured and I'm sure there's something that fits you. I've been looking into green witchery and Hearth witchcraft because it's more simplistic and feels natural to me. Look around, you'll find what's right.
