Has anyone got any tips on what i can do for sunburn?
Spent too long on a body-board in the sea yesterday and my back is sore and itching like hell!
So glad it's warm tonight 'cos I'm sitting here with nothing on top at all, can't bear anything on it  hehe

Aloe vera gel is the absolute best thing for sunburn.

along with cool applications,,, to take the heat out of it and prevent blisters.
The cool applications are wonderful and work very quickly ...... just take clean soft cloths and run them under cold water and apply it to the affected area......you can put it on after or over the ALOE if you like ........

Thanks for the suggestion, i've never tried aloe vera. I'll look for some tomorrow. Nowhere's open at night, otherwise i'd go out now to get some.
It's now 3.30am, been in bed for just under an hour, and I've had to get up again 'cos i can't sleep.
Tried laying down with a cold flannel on my back, but within a minute it was warm again. And anyway, it kept falling off 'cos i can't lay on my front!
I've had to get up again, and i'm sitting here with my back uncovered, a hot milk and brandy, and taken 2 painkillers.
I could kick myself for being so stupid yesterday - i'm usually so careful to use plenty of sun screen! :(

Have tried changing avatar, but i'm doing something wrong 'cos it won't work. Just typed in the attachment as above.
Going to make myself look really thick here, but do i have to type in this 'url' it mentions?
Am playing some 'ocean sounds' music at the moment, usually love it but it's making the sunburn worse - can feel the sun and sea on my back again! (hehe)

Aloe vera!!! That stuff works wonders!!
Oh and amazingly enough, vanilla works too. If you pour vanilla on a washcloth and apply it every now and then, it eventually goes away without peeling. Plus it feels cool while you do it. I dunno how to explain it, but it works for me...and it's nice...

if you have an aloe plant, cut part of it off, just a little piece, and sqeeze the juicey stuff on your skin. it feels good and works better than the stuff you get in stores.

The plant is always better ..., and keep those cool applications coming .....until you have taken the "heat out of it"

Aloe vera is works wonders with sunburn, if you are lucky you can find some of the 100 % stuff, or some of the 98% stuff (usually some lotion thing...), those are the best of course (but they smell terribly), however a nice aloe vera gel is just great too.
Blessed be

Many thanks for all your suggestions. I'll keep them in mind, but i'm not planning to ever get burnt again - t-shirts for me when i next go body-boarding!! Hehe
Now, if anyone's got any suggestions how to ease this damn itching.............
(only joking, itching like mad and peeling now, but bicarbonate of soda works wonders!)

Warm Greetings,
Try using some Lavender Oil blended with Eucalyptus oil. The Lavender is soothing and the Eucalyptus is cooling. It works wonders - just had to use it for myself!
