Me again, I'd like to know what signifigance the trees and types have. Like oak, fir, pine, etc. I can't find enough info. about the trees in my area (All variations of firs and pines {All EVERGREENS}) So any helpful info an trees and their signifigant properties or a place where I can find said info would be nice. Thanks All

If you search on google for said tree, and "wicca" or "witch" you can usually come up with good info. If you need anything in particular, let me know and I'll see what I can find :D

i do what macha does, except i usually use the words mythology or lore with the name of the tree
umm, here's some good sites to start out with:
http://www.the-tree.org.uk/
http://www.tarahill.com/treelore/trees.html
i don't know if there's much about fir and pine on those sites though. we were corresponding runes to different trees in a thread called making runes in magic and rituals, if your interested in reading that.
in my notes i have
fir: protection, solstices. (fir is a good yule tree and was used along with oak in the midsummer fires)
irminsul was possibly a fir tree.
pine: fire and torch tree... and guilt. :hmmmmm: okay, sometimes i don't understand my own notes.

The pine is a torch tree because the scots used pine and pine resin to make torches from
