If we are building a house do I have to do a cleansing and such???

Yep, Mommy and I are having a new house built :dancy: but I don't know if I should go through the processes of doing a cleansing or any other such things because it had no previous owners. Any thoughts would be awesome!

maybe do a ritual on the land its being built on before construction begins

I would becuse if some one was having a bad day thouse energies could get built in. And you never know wnat kinds of arguements that occure during teh process of the building.

I have worked construction- do a cleansing. every crew i have ever seen had some drama going on. the land blessing is a great idea too!

Agreed! I would take the time to do a blessing on the land before construction begins and offer my thanks to any spirits attached to that place for allowing me to build there, and do a thorough cleansing and blessing on the finished house before moving in. I know some who have gone so far as to do cleansings and blessings at various stages throughout the construction---a blessing when the foundation is laid so that the home is built on a harmonious and safe base, a blessing on the framing that the home is built with love and harmony to stand strong and weather any storm. That may be a bit much and involve lurking about the construction site "after hours" but the people I know who have gone to these lengths have only good things to report..not to mention the fact that they experienced none of the normal SNAFUs that accompany building a home.

Definately cleanse and bless the land before you beging to build. I would do a little research on the property too...find out what was there before if anything. Do a consecration when the house is completed. Congrats to you by the way! :D

Thank you very much, even though I can't work legally and I'm not contributing to the finances. It was pretty much open grass land before anything else, a ranch was there after that, and now here we are. Building has already begun and due to limited transportation I don't think I can do a dang thing to land. So I shall just bless the land long distance so to speak :) Thnx for your help folks!

well, we have a saying in Mississippi , "If it ain't broke don't try to fix it" I would do a ritual for the land but only if you have any strange or negative feelings there. If not I would just bless the land and the construction crew and bless the house as it gos up .

if i felt like something might be there... i definitely would do it. i have a wonderful cleansing routine.. but its wayyyyyyyyy to long to post... if you want it i'd be glad to email it or something.
