past punishments for my faith??

I have a dream, many nights recently, that I am tied to a stone slab, adn i am beaten with a cane across my shoulders, back, and legs, and a man in a burlap robe is repeating to me that I need to pay pennance for my sins. I never understood this dream, and I wonder if it has anythign to do with a past life I dream of as well.....
Does anyone have any ideas??

Or, is there trouble at work/school?

Many times, authority figures are represented by men. . .many of which you may not see clearly in your dream.

There is no troubles, and my father could care less now, having stepped away from his religion, and being a walk away from the same faith of mine tha the ignores.

Most men in my life don't mind. I have Necromancers as my closest companions, ad my lkove just has no opinion on religion, adn he likes it that I'm happy with this.

Is there anything else that this could mean?
