while spell casting just a few minutes ago, i felt a fast rush of blood to my face, which stayed with me (and remains in large now) throughout the spell. it's a cold stormy seattle night, so there is no physical reason this happened. i also felt joy and giggled a little in spite of myself. does anyone think this has any significance or am i too into symbolism?

thanks!

It's simple. Blood didn't rush to your face at all, unless you suddenly developed a gravity well in your head. :)

Your energy shifted directly to your head, even on the physical level. That's all.

you guys are mean. actually, if you must know, i have an over-active vaso-vagal response that causes the blood to be as far away from my head as possible, so my blood pressure is super-low and i faint a lot.

remind me not to ask questions. because as South Park's Mr. Mackey says, "there are no stupid questions - just stupid people".

Well, I've never experienced a sensation of blood rushing to my head or face during ritual or spellwork, but I do normally notice a sensation of slight lightheadedness, and the fact that "the room just got noticeably warmer". I've always associated these sensations with shifts in energy that come into play during ritual or spellcasting. My most successful spells have all been accompanied by one or both of these sensations. As to feeling giddy and extremely happy, that may also be a response to the energy shifts caused by your spellcasting , and it may indicate that "you hit the proverbial mark" with your casting--especially if the spell involved something that would bring you great joy when it manifests?!

Thanks for your reply, zakzekezedd. I agree. even after the fact, thinking on my spell brings me a great deal joy and a sense of exciting change and accomplishment. Also, I really enjoy your screen name.

Whoa, hold on just a minute! There is NO provocation to be rude. You asked for our thoughts, you got 'em. Just because we didn't give you a strange, unusual or mystical response to make you feel special doesn't mean you should go around dropping quotes, hinting about "stupid people." My response was similar to zakzekezedd's, and LadyTrinity was just joking around. Lighten up, it's no big deal! :geez:

Joking in a thread thats not in JS is considered by some to be rude and uncalled for.

In responce to the thread. It sounds like you had a very exciting expirance. If you think it had meaning for you, it very well may have. Your feelings in the matter are what matters the most. I am glad it was a good expirence. :)

I agree with 922 that it was most likely an energy rush. We have been studying energy work in a group and learning about how it can be mental, physical, emotional or spiritual. Mental and emotional are easy for most people. Making the energy physical is harder, requiring focus and concentration. It sounds like you succeeded in making your energy physical which is what it takes to manifest a change through energy. Otherwise you only "think" or "feel" that you caused a change instead causing an actual change. Congratulations!

Spiritual change is even harder and difficult for anyone else to judge unless it begin showing in your behaviou.

Shanti, I don't think anyone has said that joking in a thread posted anywhere but Just Silly is rude or inappropriate, unless it's done in a rude or sarcastic manner, or continued to the point of derailing the topic.

oy you guys. i was referring to me with the "stupid people" statement. calm down. it's called sarcasm. if you can dish it out, you can take it, especially if it was self-depricating on my end!
