So how are all ya'll DFW Pagans???
Hope no one has gotten flooded out. Lots of really high winds around Cenral Texas.
But we aren't the only place.

I live about 3 hours away from DFW.. the storm didn't effect us in northeast TX as bad as I had expected though. We lost electricity for a few hours two nights in a row, but that's all. It's still thundering outside as I speak...err...type.

yes I saw alot of that on the news, but my poor unfortunate brain didn't even put two and two together until watching the news today that "Hey I have friends that live up there!"
I am so in my own little world.
I've been through some bad weather in my life as well. I went through Hurricane Camile while I was in high school and several hurricanes after that. Went through a typhoon while in Okinawa and mostly I remember us staying up all night soaking up water coming in under the doors.
Camille was a different ball game. My dad and brother were both in Viet Nam and my mom and I were alone. So we went to the Navy base and stayed in a shelter there. It was terrifying. At times it sounded like the roof was going to fly off the huge brick ware house we were in.
They would crack the doors to give us some fresh air and the sound was horrific.
but our lives and home were spared. My friend Esther who I talked in to going with me, wasn't so lucky. She was ok, but if she had stayed in her house as she had planned she'd have been washed out into the Gulf of Mexico. There was nothing left of her house but the slab.
Actually she is now living with my ex husband.. Ha.. were still friendly...

*Hey* (imagine this sounding like the cat from Red Dwarf)
It is raining dogs out here.
I was just saying to my husband that most of the bad weather had gone around us.. but it's here now..!!!!!

I'm in north central Oklahoma, actually about halfway between Oklahoma City and Wichita, Ks. . We've been lucky so far, and it would seem the storms have pretty much gone around us. Most of the really severe stuff has been south and east or north and east. It's gray and wet today, but we need some rain..just not all the other stuff like hail, and tornadoes, and floods. Hate to see all the damage the weather is causing for folks in parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas...but I really don't want to share either.....

AAhhhhh...the sun is out and the sky is finally clear after rain, rain and more rain. Too many gray days in a row really bums me out, so I'm glad to see it.
I couldn't even drop off my son in Springtown yesterday because parts of 199W was flooded.
You can probably imagine what kind of day that was. Scrambling to find a babysitter and not succeeding before noon. Had to take him to class with me. :goodgrief
Didn't work out too well.
That's okay though, it's another day (albeit, sloshy) and hopefully no more rain for at least a few days.
Hope everyone and their properties are alright :steppy:

I hope so too.
I have been amazed at the news... lots of water.. and then in August and Sept.. we will be so dry we'll have forest fire alerts. ???
why can't we have a happy medium.??
