I just picked up my second Tarot deck the other day, a Rider-Waite deck btw. My first was a Faerie deck, I love the artwork, but have a hard time understanding the different cards. I was just wondering what would be a good first spread to start out with while just learning the cards? Thanks!

Your right on with timing!! Weve just started to go through loads of different really good spreads! Id say maybe try a few of the three card spreads then just dive in and have fun with the bigger ones! Here are some links for spreads that we have covered already.. theres more too if you type in 'spreads' in MW search directory :D

For those just starting I recommend a three card spread each day as a daily reading of "what's up for today". Just try focusing on what those three cards are trying to tell you.
I also started out doing the Celtic Cross. I used a word processing program to set up sheets to fill in. Showing how the cards were layed out and what each position means. There are a few different layouts for the Celtic Cross, so just pick the one you like the best.
And keep a journal of all your readings, so you can refer back to them and see what the outcome was. That really helped me.
Other than that, practice, practice, practice :D
