Here's the thing. My grandma's over, and I coerced her into letting me read for her.

She asked how my grandfather was going to make out at the doctor's tomorrow (he's had cancer, supposed to be over it)

I did a Celtic Spread, and it showed me the figures of my grandparents, my grandma having material things because my grandpa providing for her, her question influenced by the desire for him to be happy and healthy again. I also got the feeling that she'd been thinking a lot about younger days, waxing nostalgic, although I didn't wanna push my luck and say it out loud. (Her eyes were lookin' kinda glassy already).

It showed in the past hope and optimism for health, and that recently Grandma'd been having doubts or fears because of something that had happened. Her present card showed her trying to deal with all these emotions.

The Near Future card was Sudden Rain, which showed something unexpected coming between the two. The Cards also correctly told my grandma as a strong woman, a trooper, who others see this way as well. The For and Against card shows a man standing on top of the world with wings, people sorrowing behind him, as if he'd just gone through a great war and won. I took it as just showing the choices: that he could be the sad people, or the strong man.

There was also a little flutter of fear that the wings represented him leaving this lifetime.

The final outcome card was The Wheel, which is just a Personal Destiny card, a card of change, but nothing definite, and I took it to mean that something was definitely going to happen, but we weren't meant to know it yet.

Afterwards the mood was a little silent, so I brightly offered to do a Hope reading (I think it's the Star Spread, the three cards in triangular pattern?) and told her things to look forward to.

Anyway. The reason I'm posting for forever is that I just wanted to see if someone could get a read on my grandfather's doctor's appointment tomorrow, or his current condition. I'd do it myself, but I almost feel too close to it, and I don't want to be looking for good things if the cards are telling me otherwise and I'm just refusing to see it.

So, anyway, if anyone wants to give it a go, please do, and I would appreciate it very much. I'll add to my Victim List readings in a bit-- my cards and I feel a little drained.

And an advanced thank you.

I drew one card for you and got the two of pentacles. There is a person juggling two pentacles with the infinity sign around them. This is a card of happy, peaceful balance. I feel that no matter what the news is from the doc he will take it in stride and continue to live happy and truly in awe of the great life he has. I don't sense that he will get "bad" news at all...or perhaps he just wont take anything as bad news as his life is so wonderfully full right now!

Hope this offers you a little more insight. Also I think it is way cool that you are able to share the tarot with your Grandmother...she sounds awesome!!! Love her as much as you can and always cherish her. I miss mine so much. Give her a hug from me!!

Loopy,

First off, let me say I'm so sorry about your grandfather. I know how hard this situation is on a family. I had cancer myself a few years ago. Dr gave me only a 30% chance of making it. But I responded great to the chemo, and have been in remission since. I hope the same for your grandfather.:)

I drew three cards for you.

4 of swords- rest after an illness, convelesence

6 of wands - good news, triumph

6 of pentacles- kindness, gradification

I think his appointment is going to go well. Please let us know what happens.

I sure hope these cards are right.

Thanks Semele and MidsummerEve. :)

Those sure do help to set my mind at ease. :) Semele-- I'll give her a big hug for you; she is pretty awesome. :)

MidsummerEve-- glad you're better now. It was almost the same thing with my grandpa-- he had like a 15% chance of surviving, we were all pretty discourgaged. But he's been taking to the treatments really well-- still can't keep a lot of food down, though, keeps losing weight...

Another HUGE thanks to both of you. :D

Hiya Loopy,
Im so sorry about your Grandpa and hope he is well on the road to recovery and finds good news today :)

Ive drawn three cards also ~ and very positive they are..

The Sun, 8 of wands and the fool ~ So I think that today will bring good news! & your Grandpa and Ma will be maybe starting something new together? That probally ties in with the Wheel you saw. I think these cards represent a happy, joyfull second chance ~ thye may be going away somewhere in the sun or just relaxing and recovering together. He'll have more fight in him (seems to have already!) and start to really go for life!

:sunny: All my love to you and your family today

I was just about to post... :D

Turns out all your positive readings were absolutely right! :D The "unexpected" thing that I drew in mine was good news-- not only is he doing great and healthy, but he's no longer anemic!! :D:D:D

I told my grandma about the extra readings I requested from you guys, and how positive they all were, and reminded her of the unexpected card I drew. She told me that as long as we kept drawing readings like these, that we were in good shape! :D

Silver-- I added about you catching that they were going away, and told her about them falling in love all over again, and she laughed and laughed. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thank you all SOO much for everything. :D:D:D
