Hi All,

I am new to Wicca and stilll in the process of exploring (and researching) the different traditions. I am particularly interested in finding out more about the Celtic/Druid Tradition.

Can anyone recommend a book or a good online site?

Thanks in advance

Not to be a pain in the rear or sound like a jerk, but ... Which Druid tradition are you inquiring about? You just said "the" ~ and there are many.

What Mairwen said.......:D. Is there something specific you've come across that you would like more information about?

Regards,

Maggie

Well Duh! I guess that shows just how little I know! :)

In many of the articles, essays, and info from different sites, there have been explanations of different "traditions" of Wicca: Alexandrian, Arthurian, British, Dianic, Faery, Family, Gaelic, Gardnerian, Nordic, etc (many more).

Also listed have been Druid and Celtic. I have been trying to find some background on these traditions: their history, their ways, their beliefs. I guess if there are many different Druid, or Celtic, ways, I am looking for anything fairly general.

My way is, so far, Eclectic (probably in the extreme! :) ). But I would like to learn as much as I can about different ways to practice Wicca.

Does this make sense, or do I sound like a complete and utter neophyte?

Thanks again in advance......and thanks for the welcome. You seem like a nice group!

Greetings Moonmoth and Welcome to the Druids forum!

I guess if there are many different Druid, or Celtic, ways, I am looking for anything fairly general.

First, I would suggest you look back through the prior discussions (threads). The excellent people here have answered (and debated;) ) a lot of the questions you ask. If not, let us know and we'll be happy to help!:)

Peace,
Twig

If you go to some major bookstores, such as Barnes & Noble, Little Professor, or Borders, you should find some books about Druids, usually near the wiccan books. I've found everything from research to modern druid 'cookbooks' so if you find a store with a good selection, you should find something that interests you.

Also, I've found that different stores within the same chain will have a bigger or smaller selection, based on the location.

To save money, check local libraries online - you can usually search for books and find out if they have any you'd want to borrow.
