Hello , all ,

as an individual seeking knowledge that I may choose what path is right for me I am trying to learn about many different paths and traditions , and so I just wanted to ask if anyone has experience or some type of knowledge regarding the Avalonian Tradition? I dont really know anything about this particular path , its history or principles of belief , any input would be appreciated:)

I have been involved with the tradition of Ar Afalon (an Avalonian/Arthurian trad) for two years now. I'm the members advisor, so if you want you can email me off list about the trad. Some basic information can be found on our profile at The Witches Voice:

This one should be able to answer your questions regarding what we believe, what we do, ect. Please, if you have any other questions, feel free to pm me or im me at yahoo under the sn rhiannon8199

Blessing, ~Rhiannon

very interesting...

I'm finding that my path sort of ecompasses a lot of labelled paths.....that many overlap....which seems to go with the idea that all are one....

The Ar Afalon Tradition seems wonderful!
Do you mind me asking, where in Canada does the ‘Order of Northern Lights’ practice?

I may be mistaken here, and Rhiannon will correct me if I am, but I don't think the Order of Northern lights is a working coven, rather another members advisor like Rhiannon. Ar Afalon is relativly new, and I don't think there are any working covens YET, but I could be wrong.
As to were in Canada she lives Don't know sorryI'll ASk tonight if she's discloseing that info!

Actually each Order is set up to be a working coven in that area. However, we as the head of each order, must evaluate potential members and get them through the Gateway course, kind of like the "outer circle" of a coven. Once you've completed Gateway you can initiate (or have the leader initiate you) into Ar Afalon. Then you would be a full fledged member of the coven/order. That's my understanding from my talking with Lady Calliean, the Founding Mother of Ar Afalon.

Here is the information we have so far on the Order of the Northern Lights. Please bear in mind that the Orders have just started, so some information isn't quite together yet. For a member of Ar Afalon to run an Order, they must have completed both the Gateway and First Triad teachings.

Ooooo! Does that mean when, and if of course, I get back from Wisconsin, have completed my gateway course we can "work together"??!!**bites nails in excitement**. That way you won't be the only confused at a public ritual!!

Those of you who are familiar with the myths surrounding Avalon, I was wondering, how do you view this place? There have been a few attempts to find a physical place such as Glastonbery Tor, with no definitive results, and some view it as an otherworld. What's your opinion, did it actually exsist or was it a version of one of the planes of exsistance?
