View Full Version : Better late than never...

Alright... 54 posts in, and I'm finally doing one of these. :D Guess you could say that's the Libra influence - always trying to pick the right words, indecisive until the last possible minute.

So who am I? I'm me! Plain and simple. Been living in Colorado for 25 of my 26 years, except for a four-year stint going to college in Maryland (an insanely long story that I might get into someday in the far-distant future). I grew up in one house littered with Crowley books, another with crosses. My spiritual background is so muddy that I won't get into it here, but let's just say that I've been a practicing Pagan for a couple years now and have never felt happier.

I'm a graphic designer and film major by education, file clerk by profession thanks to the economy that was going downhill when I graduated, then got worse two months later whenh the towers fell.

ACK!! Listen to Negative Nellie! I'm actually an upbeat person, though my friends generally call me a sarcastic freak show. ;) If I ramble on forever about music, it's coz I used to be a DJ, have about 1600 CD's, and play myriad instruments. After spirituality, music is the core of my life. I've been losing a grip on spirituality thanks to some recent events that threatened to plow me six feet under, but I'm once again finding balance, getting out of my house, meeting tons of people, and remembering to take time out for myself. That's a big reason why I'm here... I've been lurking for about six months unregistered, and decided that this was a wonderful place to take a plunge and stay awhile. I have the tendency to stick with things I love, so get used to me. Looking forward to getting to know more and more of you!

And if my post count start climing sharply, it's because my job not only gives me alot of time sitting around the office, but also internet access. :bigredgri

:hugz: Hey you!! The one who sent me my first PM and gave me my first karma points... ;) Would you believe I've been pondering this intro since I first joined, and it didn't turn out at all like I had planned? I'm good at that... should just give up planning anything since I'm always liable to change my mind.

Greetings and welcome.. we should probably talk...

Thanks!! :D Erm... am I in trouble already?

Oooooh!!! What all do you play? I currently have two guitars, a bass, a keyboard, fife, Irish whistle, flute... I know there's more, but I can't think of them. Just moved into an apartment last month, which meant my drumset had to get locked up for now. :wah: I miss my stress-relievers!!

Thanks!! :hugz: I absolutely love what's right below your name... it's very similar to what I've been pondering all morning long.

You aren't kidding!! :fpipesmok Especially those of us born on the Virgo cusp, because we can also claim the perfectionist aspects of that sign. We're indecisive because we're trying to make it perfect. Now how is that a bad thing? ;)

Thanks for that!! I'll defintitely give that a whirl later on when I get home from work. Granted, I listen to music here (got about 140 hours of MP3's on my computer), but for some reason it doesn't like streaming. This computer is ancient!

It'd definitely be of interest to me! Most people who have tried to help me with that problem have told me to shut myself off from everyone... and they're all miserable because that's what they do. It's not in my nature anyway. I tend to be open about everything. :D

What kind of DJ? I worked for the college radio station, so it wasn't exactly professional. However, they were citywide and I got all the perks of working at a real radio station - backstage passes, interviews, all of that. And our playlist wasn't the least bit restricted. It became that way the semester after I finished, but we were pirate radio at it's finest. :bigredgri

And yes, when I have four posts to respond too, I sometimes get lazy and don't combine my responses. ;) That's what I get for leaving my computer for 20 minutes to actually do the work they pay me for.

No, that's definitely not the way to solve it. If I did that, I'd be miserable too because I would be denying my purpose in this life.

I'm not one to pry or push, but if you'd like to talk, feel free to PM me. :)

Thank you both, HorseCrow and Autumn! I sure am glad I signed up here. Positively brimming with love! :D

And Selene, I'd love to discuss the subject with you... possibly send you a PM later tonight if I can get caught up on stuff. Yesterday was my first day off in two weeks thanks to a wedding two weekends ago and having to work with my dad this past weekend. The apartment I moved into a month ago is still without chairs, I have to get my drivers license changed, my voter registration moved, an emissions test done on my car, licensing fees sent in... I'm so far behind it's not even funny! :hrmm: Should get it all done shortly.
