Exercises for Base Chakra
1. Ways to bring more earth energy into your life.
Increase your contact with nature by gardening,or hiking.
Get your hands in the dirt,make something with your hands,grapple with something heavy,or get out into the woods.
Do yoga,carpentry,pottery,working out or making things in general.
Stomping your feet on the ground or marching.
Have contact with nature at least once a day.
2. Ways to bring less earth energy into your life
Eat less, sleep less, work less, do less.
Play more, laugh more, move more.
3. Stimulating your Base.
Sit in the lotus position and breathe deeply.Burn a scent that stimulates the Base chakra,for example patchouli,cedarwood or sandalwood.
Close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes.feel your connection with the earth beneath you.As you breathe in,draw up energy from the earth below through your feet chakras,and feel it flow up through your legs to your base chakra,stimulating it.
4. Exercising your Base.
Stand straight with your arma loose at your side and your feet shoulder length apart.Imagine a straight line connects the top of your head to between your feet.
Breathing in,rise up on your toes,bringing your arms up slowly to form a cross,keeping your body straight and bottom tucked in.
Breathing out,come down on your heels,bending your knees as you do so,and bringing your arms back to your side.
Repeat this exercise four times.
5. Calming your Base.
Stand holding a piece of rose quartz to your base chakra,at the base of your spine.burn marjoram essential oil for its calming effects.
As you stand, meditate and visualize yourself surrounded by a cool pink glow,and feel the calming energy of the rose quartz permeating your Base chakra and balancing the energy.
6. Colour and your Base
You should avoid ‘hot’ colours such as reds,oranges and yellows. Concentrate on wearing cooler colours such as blue,light green and white.
If possible,combine cool colours with wearing rose quartz or emerald jewellery,as these crystals help calm the energy of the Base chakra.
Likewise,avoid using or wearing stimulating crystals such as carnelian,garnet and ruby while you are trying to calm the base chakra down.
