Total Rant And Rage Fest!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:fpatricks I just walked outta my job! I can't even believe it!!!!!!!!!!! I have been pending a promotion for 3 1/2 months now and just got totally scewed over and crapped on!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a truly ugly situation where I have been blatantly taken advantage of and passed over because my store manager is uncomfortable around me!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable!!!! I have been working as and actting as manager now for almost 3 months helping a coworker of mine who took the job and realised she couldn't handle it. For weeks now the entire dept and store have turned to me for ordering info, daily schedules, customer service, and all aspects of management. I was told that a change would be instituted since they didnt want to create an assistant managers poisistion..
I didnt want to see my coworker and friend lose her raise and status so I went to bat for her, but theyjust kept insisting that they weren't able to make another full- time spot at this current time. Bare in mind I have been doing this work on a part time shift myself....putting in 11 and 12 hour days on a 4 day week.........
Well I get told today that my friend Doris is being demoted to assistant manager(what ???? that posistion doesnt exist remember!) and that a goodfriend of mine from another dept is being given the management posistion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok.....call me crazy here.....but I got a tad upset and left!!!!!!!!! I have been at the store for 6 months more than this man.....I have 3 years experience in that posistion from a prior job....and have been told for months they dont have a spot for another full time worker in the budget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone even have the courtesy to speak to you in person and explain why you were not chosen? Or were you expected to continue on as you've been doing and help this other guy do his job?

Work sucks! I have a co-worker who does the same job for the same length of time per day and she has been there the same amount of time as me and makes 4.90 more than me an hour! I asked the office whats up and they said that the employee is mixed up.. I've seen pay stubs.. they keep denying it. And If I go to the labour board they have said I will never further within the company! @@#$%%^^^&^$% UGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! :razz:

The store manager who did this to me......apparently realised my worth, although it took him 2hours after I walked out to get the nerve up to call and talk to me! A very violent tirade is what he recieved from my end of the phone! He proceeded to listen to me and then went on to apologise left and right and kiss my ass....complete with begging on his part...singing my praises, an offering to pick me up and drive me in if Iwould only just come back!!!!! I laid my feelings out on the line and told him exactly wha I was after an that if i wasnt given full time and the opportunity to advance to management he could just look else where and fire me so I coulod collect from them!
He picked me up, and I watched this man backpeddle and grovel the whole way in to the store. I am getting my full time, and I spent the last 2 days talkng to my staff and the new manager....who happens to be a friend of mine....we have hashed out a game plan to get me whereI want,and inthe mean time the manager of the store and the stores owner hve been bending over backwards for the past 2 days to make me happy! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!
So out of a angry, screwed up situation comes 2 days of people singing my praises, welcoming me back. telling me several of them were prepared to walk out as well if i hadn't of come back.....hahahahahahaa.....it was very enlightening to me and to management as well to see the type of support I have behind me....wonderful acutally to see how many of my staff and coworkers stand behind me!
My new dept manager has even told them that if cant pickup this (seeing as he has no experience in this dept) he will step down and wants to see me in the posistion .....tis was done behind his back as well! He told them I should have the posistion when he was approached for it and they lied to him and told him I wasnt after full time or management....so we have worked it out to a 90 day trial and I will act as a superior in my dept with fulltime and pendng the posistion in management if he feels he cant handle it....otherwise I will act as assitant to him at fulltime with all my authority intact.....either way.....it pans out in my favor....an the stores upper manaemnt has finially seen how important the rest of the store feels I am!!! All in all I have gained alot of ground in two days time, and things have changed in my favor.....and the store manager who did this to me.....now approaches me like a shy puppy with his tail between his legs..begging for a morsel of acceptance!
