We all wore baby doll dresses with matching tights :D and those stupid "Blossom" hats (yes, I had one. Black velvet with a big cabbage rose on the front.). Let's see...grunge - my saving grace. I don't think there was a single day my junior year that I wasn't wearing flannel and Doc Martens

You guys are scaring me. The only thing I really care to recall about the nineties is that they led to this new millennium--and I'm much fonder of "now" than "then"!

grunge! I loved that look. I still have two pairs of Docs that I bought waaaay back in the early 90's and they look almost as good as new. Excpet when my dog chewed the back tag when she was a puppy. And I wore my docs with everything- shorts, skirts (those tiny ones that you wore bike shorts under) flaneel and leggings.
I'll never forget the Monica/Bill hearings especially since they were on TV when I was in labor with my daughter.
How about Titanic - you could not escape that song!
Big scrunchies and big friggin bows that you wore on the top of your head!

When I think of the 90's I immediately think back to early-90's stuff....like the Sony Walkman and the Super Nintendo... Watching VHS tapes, Watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air on T.G.I.F. (back before they were ALL reruns!), Bugle Boy jeans, Bad Dog shirts... guys were wearing neon green and pink shirts, Nike Air with the little pumps on the tongue of the shoe... Haha...all things that remind me of my childhood. :floating:

big camping parties, student "walkouts", 15 ciggies in a pack of smokes(for only like 4 bucks), and sad but true, old engilsh beer. (OE) hehehe. Does any one remember those jeans with the lock on the fly???

what I remember of the 90's house music which eventually changed into
trance and acid... nothing like the original though.
I loved that house music....

Yeah I feel old now.
I remember desert storm, in living color(loved it), cavariccis, drakkar noir...
Obsession, the list goes on and on.....

Four words - Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Grunge. Gods I miss grunge, nothing like being able to wear whatever you had clean regardless of what it looked like together. I'm waiting for it to come back

hrmmm I remember thinking that the No Fear shirts were awesome. I had to have a plaid flannel sweater and my nike airs. I also had some red plaid keds shoes. I loved those. I think I might get another pair.. hehe Looney Tune shirts, although I favored Winnie the Pooh items. Hrm I remember begging my mom to get me a body suit so I could wear it with jeans to the middle school dance.. I do miss them... err I miss the 90s not bodysuits hehe.. Now I need to go watch My So-Called Life dvds. :)

I loved the 80's I was young, it was fun. Some bumps in the road but still there was real passion for living and enjoying life, learning exactly what I had to deal with in the adult world, invading the computer world.
The 90's were cool. I was working my arse off. The economy was fine, jobs were plentiful, work was cranking along, Clinton got fried for a you know what.
I was learning all about the games people play in every game court in America, especially the political and corporate arenas. Learning to pay attention to not only what people said, but how they said it and what they didn't say. Right down to the words they used and didn't use. To me it was the decade of legal speak to the nth degree. Twas the beginning of no one saying anything until lawyers ok'd it first.
The music, artwork and writing of the 90's had more feeling of all emotions than the 2000's. A more of focus on both living and working. Today's there's an emptiness and rage in 2000's art. Everything is "with or against" there is a lot more disrepect for differences and more domination contests. It's all about money, profit and costs, living is immaterial.

Grunge - Picking up clothes off the floor isn't fashion, it's a lack of hygiene. Nirvana wasn't that great. I'm not sorry Kurt is dead.
Saved By The Bell - I wanted to slap them all, hard.
Beverly Hills 90210 - See Saved By The Bell.
Melrose Place - See Beverly Hills 90210.
"NOT!" - So very annoying.
That Robin Hood movie & it's annoying soundtrack - Everybody sang that sappy song by Bryan-what's-his-face.
Y2K - I think the problem is that most people were not Y2K compatible and should have been shot on sight.
Bubblegum Pop and its triumphant return - Eww, eww, eww.
Creed - The multitude of things that are wrong with this band are astronomical.
The Teletubbies are gay fanaticism - No, you're just secretly gay and your refusal to accept this is causing you to percieve everything as gay.
Barney - He was a purple dinosaur that sings.
The Looney Toons Craze - I hated them growing up. I hated them in the 90's. I hate them now.
Vanilla Ice - White boys with hair that sticks up two feet in the air and who say "Word to your momma" have no street cred. Plus, he totally ripped off "Under Pressure".
And there is much more that I just can't think of.

This pretty much sums it up for me, too.
The 90's were OK, I was certainly financially better off and I do look back at that wistfully, but all in all, the 80's were more my decade.

Sorry no, I'm a 80's gal. 90's didn't offer anything new or inventive. (Come to think of it, neither did the 80's, but that is neither here nor there.)
