Use search engines to find links.
One example I found through Yahoo! is http://www.healpastlives.com/pastlf/exercise/exregres.htm
So far I've seen it done through guided meditations.

I came upon one of my lives quite by accident. I was driving down a street in Northern Kentucky and had a vision so strong that I had to pull over in order to catch my breath.

Hiya Mooncrow ~ this is a really good topic :D
Did you find any links or books? I cant share any with you Im afraid because I dont know any also.
I first tapped into one of my past lifes with a fabulous meditation, led by another woman in a kind of a working group where she led us through to meet our other self... Then I learnt more about myself (in this same past life) through dreams over time and gazing with the crystal ball. Sometimes it even comes up in Tarot readings to! Seems I have avery strong Greek side :D

I've run into some of mine just like they were repressed memories. Others I found while meditating. **shrug** I'm not sure how much that helps though.
Hmm ... to be helpful, I've heard that guided meditations can do wonders for finding them. That and guided hypnosis.
I wouldn't trust many people to do either of those for me though. I'm not fond of giving people the opportunity to mess with my head. ;) It's already scary enough in there without outside help. Heh heh.

Oh by the way, a few of my friends have accessed them spontaneously, most often when they're drunk or very relaxed (more open then). I have a friend who every once in awhile just regresses into one. I don't think most people can get that comfortable around their friends though.

Rocking is a form of hypnosis,(provides the same chemical responses in your brain) in a chair or on the floor side to side, it is a very easy way, to get relaxed too. You can make your own guided journey by recording it onto a tape and playing it back while you rock. Remember to leave pauses and time going in and time coming back out. Good Luck!
