New idea

I got this idea from one of the lists to which I am subscribed. Try to think of a song that represents each card as we study them. That means we have some catch up work to do. I guess I should start.

The Fool: Just a Gigolo.... don't know why it just comes to mind. Can't you just picture David lee Roth about to walk off the cliff?!?!

The magician: Abracadabra........of course!

The high Priestess: Break on through to the other side...Ever the doors fan!!

The Emperess: I am thinking............ um...How about mama I'm coming Home??? Drawing a blank here...I'll have to think on this one some more.

The Emperor: Easy!!! Papa don't Preach!!!!

Well that was a quick blurb. I just wanted to get this up so I could see what everyone else comes up with. I have a feeling our music styles may be as different as we all are. Even better, maybe we will learn more about each other.

Here's mine....Probably stuff I've been hearing lately. ^_^

The Fool: I'm Like a Bird by Nellie Furtado...It describes innocence and caprice very well. And it's a pretty song.

Magician: Forty-Six and Two by Tool...I dunno, the whole feeling is rather mystic. I've noticed a lot of magickal people like these guys.

Priestess: Cornflake Girl by Tori Amos...She *is* the musical Priestess!

Empress: Saint Teresa by Joan Osborne...Beautifully earthy and mystic at the same time.

Emperor: Drawing a blank, though Nine Inch Nails comes to mind.

I can't remember what comes after this one...Haven't picked up the cards in a while.

i was beginning to wonder if everyone thought this was a crazy idea!!! Which it probably is, but still fun. Nine inch nails fits that card very well now that you mention it....Terrible Lie I am thinking!!!

I got it now that I've actually slept....It's Ringfinger for the Emperor. And it's not crazy...I get my best and most interesting mental images while listening to my favorite music, and it always ties in with things I'm studying or happen to think of.

The Hierophant: Probably Orbital's the Box. No lyrics, but it's a very intricate and cerebral piece of music.

The Lovers: The Edge of the Deep Green Sea by The Cure...The Cure sums up love's pain and euphoria so well...

For some annoying reason everytime I try to think of a song for the lovers that old song Love hurts keeps popping into my head.
