I just can't believe how some people can be so ruthless, so uncaring towards a fellow human been.
Some of the things I've heard, make me sick. This come guy at my school was curb-stomped...just because the guy didn't like the way he looked.
When my friend lived in Ontario, her friend was given a smiley face (the bottom lip was cut then they pull it up as far as it goes, it rips your skin all the way up to your eyes....) why did they do this....just because. The guy was in a coma for 3 years.
The was a fight at our school, involving knifes...3 guys from my school had to go to the hospital.
Another guy I know is in the hospital because he was beaten with a baseball bat.
And when I hear of these things it just makes me sick to my stomach, how could you beat someone with a baseball bat, possibly killing them? I don't know...We live in a sick world.
These guys from my school, go into the city pick a guy by himself or with his girlfriend...and beat the cr@p out of him...for no reason.
Its sick...
For no reason....it just wrong and cruel...
and ...thats only a FEW examples.... :(

It is indeed a cruel world, last fall my oldest son watched from the school bus and three teens jumped out of a car and broke all the windows on the car in front of them at the signal then drive off. He asked me "why did they do that Dad?"
I didn't have an answer.....

Wow, that's really sick. I'd be moving. I see sick things happening but at least it's relatively safe where I live.

Curb stomping is where you make the victim put his mouth on the side of the curb....and then they boot the victim in the head so it breaks the jaw...and in most cases kills..... its horrible..simply horrible.

Amen!
Puts me in mind of a friend of mine - he was sitting in his backyard here in Ontario and looked up to see a stone flying at him. Some kid threw a stone at his head and left him unconscious. When he woke up he found his arm was broken and he was bruised - while he was unconscious the kid also beat the crap out of him as well. Makes me glad I'm not a teen anymore (which isn't to say only teens do this, just that a lot of the time I hear about stuff like this it's kids fighting).

I judt don't understand how anyone could do something like that with no reason and unprovoked.
~shakes head in disbelief~
It is truly a shame that people can treat another person, or animal like that...

It's like this every day where I live, the downtown eastside of
Vancouver, plus the shootings and stabbings....and the police,
not enough time for coffee and donuts.
Patriarchy had a specific beginning in history.
It will also have an end. :smash:

when i was a freshman in high school, i a kid got curbed right out in front of the school because he owed a guy (who happened to be a star football player for the hs) money for drugs. the football player got probation and later went to a college in florida on full scholarship for football. shouldn't he still be in jail?! arg

It really sucks that so many people are out there doing sick things, because now everyone is paranoid to leave their houses. People are afraid to show violence on TV, because they're afraid kids will see a guy get shot on TV and automatically want to do this. I think that's ridiculous right there.
I grew up on GI Joe and Ninja Turtles, where the whole plot involved violence and it was great. I knew that the only reason they did violent things was because violent things were started by the badguys, and GI Joe was just setting the badguy straight. But now you have things like Pokemon where the badguys aren't even allowed to be anything but knocked out, and parents really honestly believe this is going to solve violence in schools. The results in Pokemon? About a year or so ago here In Tucson, a twelve year old got busted because he held an eleven year old classmate at KNIFE-POINT for a rare Pokemon card he wanted. The kid went on trial...and WALKED! The jury thought that "oh he was too young to know what he was doing!" How ridiculous is that?! We're talking a twelve year old, for cryin' out loud!
Now what kind of lesson is this kid gonna' learn, eh? That it's ok to hold kids at knife-point? If adults are so worried that violence on TV is causes violence among children...why the hell did this kid walk?
