Okay, my mother's drunk again ... what else is new (don't worry this isn't a 'I hate my mother' rant)

Okay,
Mother: And Ron (dad) don't come up (to the bedroom) and try to talk to me because I don't wanna here it. I'm sick of you!
(Bedroom door slams and all is quite.

Sorry it made me laugh. She - sick of my dad!? What about us?

Okay, I'm done.

Do pixie's steal braincells, cause seriously I think my mother is short of a few zillion. You really have to be here, because its too funny for words.

(oh and no offence to pixie's cause, yeah ... fairy folk rock)

Have you seen those Sprite adverts? Love those, especially the new one on festivals - "a sprite is also a small goblin type creature, not so refreshing at festivals, and only able to play one chord on a guitar *strum....strum...* Only one sprite is right..." :T

When I got my GCSE results, my dad bought me a zippy (from rainbow) stuffed toy, and when you squeeze it he says "You know, I'm really very clever!" :T It's so my dad!

Champagne's pretty icky really (and it's sooo fizzy) but you gotta drink it just because it's champagne!
I'm more of a red-wine girl :) It used to stain my lips bright red for a few days, so everyone would always know when I'd been drinking!

I have a friend who's mom is an alcoholic too. She tried every thing to get her to cut down, she told her about the health risk and yadda yadda. Finally what worked is when she told her mom "you know, heavy drinking causes liver spots all over your body, do you know how ugly that is?" And guess what, her mom cut down :D

i love drunk people you can get them to tell the truth about anything. my mom got drunk at our bon fire one year she was running around with the wine botttle asking people if they wanted her bottle then yanking it away singing you can't have it. then proceeded to our barn to walking up to the pony and singing Jose can you see. (think USA national song Oh say can you see...) yeah good times

hmm, no one in my family drinks, we have a bottle of something called "Chateau St.Nicholas" in our fridge that's been in there since I was in elementary school... I'm in college now. I do, however, have a friend who barely weighs 100 pounds who likes to get plastered. My other friend and I let her drink all she wanted at New Years, since she had turned 21 in December. Drunk people are funny, though a drunken redneck asking for your number every 5 minutes is annoying.
I sort of wish drunks wouldn't tell so much of the truth...
going down the road to my friends house (the sober one) after the New Year's party, the Kelis song, Milkshake comes on... thanks to my drunken friends truthful mouth, I now know EXACTLY what a "milkshake" is.
TOO much information :collapse:

I don't know about Pixie's but alcohol certainly does.

My mum used to say stupid hateful things like that all the time, what to do though?

And, if she's rolling drunk she probably wont even know she didn't drink it

Okay, I know this reply comes late.

We don't actually have a liquer cabinet. All the wine (my dad favours wine now and then) is locked in a trunk in the car, which is also locked.

As for money, if she doesn't have any, she resorts to stealing, and then blame other people for taking the money, ie my BOYFRIEND. (She's on a 'I hate Rhyce trip' right now)

As for anything else. Well my mother is really really mean when she's drunk. Which has unconsciously made me uneasy about most drunks I meet. Unless I know the person before hand.

My mum did the same. Her first marriage was to an abusive alcoholic, and although she left him years before I was born, I think she carried around her fear of alcoholics and impressed that fear onto me at an early age. It was difficult to overcome, and is probably why I didn't drink til a relatively late age.
