I find myself getting lost more then often on deciding what "path" to follow. I think that's the term I am looking for. There is so much about Witchcraft and what not that interest me I have no idea where to start and further more, when I do start what higher being I am supposed to worship. HELP ME PLEASE IM LOST!!! :strike: :wah2:

First, Welcome! If you can find your way to the Introduction Forum, I'm sure others would love to greet you "officially" as well. :)
As for your question...
Choosing your Path can be quite a journey in itself and can take days or years. So, don't feel like you HAVE to make a decision quickly -- many times the things we learn in our search are things that will help us farther along.
Now, I'd suggest you start out by formulating (as best you can) what you actually believe for yourself. Don't try to fit into any one group that you've read about, just think about what YOU feel for now. And don't worry if there are really vague sections or even completely blank ones in your definition, that's okay -- the goal is for you to get down your "absolutes" if you have any, to give you a basis to go on.
Once you've done that, then the reading begins. And never ends, even AFTER you've found your Path. LOL Seriously, here in the Forum. Read through some of the things you see in Circle of Teaching and the dedicated forums for many different Paths. Pay close attention to the Paths Forum itself, as there are many good threads in there.
As you're reading, if something peaks your interest, investigate more. Look for book suggestions on that topic (feel free to ask if you don't see any), and do yet MORE reading. LOL
If you see someone who says something in a forum that just clicks with you, perhaps drop them a note and see if they can talk about their beliefs a bit with you. Also, pay attention to what you're feeling as you read and talk to people. You'll probably start getting "pulls" in one direction or another before long.
And remember one VERY important thing. You don't have to follow a pre-defined Path. You can forge your own. That's what I've done... taken a bit here, a bit there, and found my own Truth.
Blessings to you in your Seeking! :)

It is very easy to be overwhelmed at first. I remember that I was, so confused and intimidated with the very wide variety of information that is available to you.
I definitely agree with Selene, and what she's said above.
Just sit back, take a breath, and study everything you can.
Sometimes it is easier to learn the basics, and then to move on to certain "paths".
Go with your heart.

Why even decide what path you will follow? I can understand that knowing may provide a sense of security and stability, but let's face it, defining who you are without really knowing is only going to turn your entire life upside down. Just meditate daily, write in a journal or several journals. Perhaps one for dreams (they can be very inspirational), one for daily writing (to keep track of how your life is progressing so if you get lost at least you can follow the trail of bread crumbs back to where you got lost), and one for words of wisdom (things you find or create on your own that move you).
I seriously suggest you meditate daily starting as soon as possible. Meditation creates a strong foundation for you to work on and you'll have a much easier time in your journey if you remain calm and work toward spiritual stability. It will also provide you with a way to begin forming your own talents and abilities so that when you do begin actively practicing things will come much easier for you. Do a bit of reading on meditation and pick a method that appeals to you. If they all appeal to you write down each method's name on a slip of paper, fold all the piece up, swirl them around on your bed and leave it up to fate. The point is not which one you select, but that you select one.
As for which form of divinity you wish to worship, never ask that of anyone. Witches decide for themselves. You have a brain, thus you have common sense, spiritual insights, and intelligence all your own. It may take you years before you realize which being is right for you, may take days, may take decades. It's different for everyone and with so much available to you in terms of how divinity can be interpreted do not be quick to pledge yourself to any one aspect without thorough consideration. Divinity has been around a long time, it has enough patience to wait on you to get your thoughts in order, I assure you.

Truer words were never spoken. That is the beauty of mysticism. The only rules are those that you set for yourself; what you believe is your truth, and your faith. I don't follow a traditional path, and I doubt that I ever will.
Raven also made great advice with meditation and journal entries. Probably the two most valuable tools to any human being. I would also add affirmations to my daily routines.
Dep Lipp posted this great list of studies - it might seem incredibly overwhelming at first, but I just scan it, look for something that pops at me, and then I research it. It's a great to learn about things that speak to you, and you can do it on your own terms - with an entire community of friends to help you out :)

Thank you all very much for your words. It seems as though I am in good company here so I shouldnt have a problem with my decision making. :)

These people are right.... let yourself grow into your path... for you exist right now. That in itself is a statement...

I'm searching for a pagan tradition as well, but I'm thinking at this point I'll end up an eclectic. (Hey, I was a cafeteria Catholic back in the days when I practiced that tradition, might as well keep up the good work, eh?)

I think the more you worry, the harder you find it.
Speaking from experience anyway.I'm only just seeing a clearing in my beliefs which are pretty eclectic, and i'm happy with that.:)
Good luck as you walk the path.:)
