I have a tree in my front yard that needs some HELP. I have sent it postitive energy and hands on blessings and it is trying as hard as it can, but we need a little help. It has been abused and now ants and earwigs have moved into the cracks and under the loose bark areas. I am sure you already know I will NOT use any chemicals. I have tried putting earth friendly dish soap all over the tree and that has helped. Yes my neighbors think I am crazy, soaping up my tree!
Any other ideas?!?
I will take any thing ya got.
Thanks in advance and Blessings to all.

So a few of you have read this and no one has replied, so I thought you might also need the answer!
some one did send me a PM of the idea to use garlic. Thanks Again!
I have some garlic, shelled out and in oil in my fridge, SO>> I pulled it out and added some more oil and shoved the cloves in the tree openings, and drizzeled the oil around. The ants started to abandon ship right away and it drove some earwigs out that got in the oil and fell from the tree. So you may want to remeber garlic for yourselves too!
Blessings

I hope your tree gets better!
I just had to move my ficus tree outside, because it got too sick and was dropping leaves and stuff, I didn't know what was wrong with it. I fed it and watered and stuff. . . so now it's living outside.
But I'm glad to hear that you're having sucess! :)

Hi Hope!
Glad to hear your tree's doing better. Ants follow scent trails. If you destroy their scent trails, they're lost. The garlic probably did that. I've sprinkled powder cloves around some of my plants that the ants love. They "farm" aphids on my herbs & it gets pretty ugly sometimes. I'm trying to share my garden with the "wildlife" here & still have some for me. :D
