? about teaching

Merry Meet All-

What are your feelings about a solitary practitioner teaching a friend Wicca? I am a self taugh wiccan, and feel like I could possibly be adequate enough to teach her. What do you all think?

Why do you feel you are ready to teach?

Most don't feel ready for years and years and years. For example, I've only been studying for about 4 years and I would recommend books and share info but I'm in NO way qualified to teach - I got lotsa book knowledge but experience?? I suppose it's up to you tho :)

I suppose if you truely feel ready to teach then perhaps you are.

Just remember Anakin Skywalker as the consequences for taking on the responsability of a teacher before you're ready. :)

Find me ........ and then I dont "teach" I just share what I know as we go .....
I have three right now, and they are my friends..... I just pass on my experience, and gently guide them ,but with the admonition that I will not make crucial decisions for them, or attempt to direct or manipulate the direction they take in any way, because I believe that is taking on karmic debt that isnt mine. If they have sought me out, then so be it, but I dont seek pupils.
I am more the "read the book that jumps off the shelf at you" before the one I suggested school of thought" because that is from your own Divine Source.
Perhaps you can "reframe" this relationship as just sharing knowledge with someone who is also self taught , rather than attempting to "teach"
