those were just wonderful!! I'm jealous!! my wedding was small as well...but nothing turned out right....my sister picked out the dress SHE wanted (which was black with purple flowers) and I wanted deep purple for the whole thing overall...the floral shop messed up my flowers...they were magenta instead of purple and about 2 minutes after we got back to his moms house (where we had the reception) we changed into shorts and t-shirts! Last month we got our vows renued in Vegas at a drive thru wedding chapel! I'm so jealous!!! Those pics were just beautiful!! (I wanted to do it at our hotel...the excalibur, where you can rent midevil clothing but we couldn't afford it :( ) I just love hearing about handfastings....they're what got me interested in paganism in the first place:) that's the first time I've seen pictures....wow!!:) happy anniversary:)

Thanks so much Elaine! It was a wonderful day, but a lot of work planning the whole shindig since it was an at-home wedding, and I could not afford a wedding coordinator (he he he). I was up at 5:00 a.m. the wedding morning to set the tables, decorate, etc. By the time, I finished, I only had 30 minutes to shower and throw my clothes on. Since I arrived very close to starting time, everyone had their cars parked down the street, so I had to park 2 blocks away from my house and run in my wedding gown, with bouquet in hand, holding my train, he he he.


I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MY MYSTICWICKS FRIENDS WEDDING PICS! PLEASE POST THEM! :p

Those were the most beautiful pics I've ever seen!! My fiance and I want to do a rennesance (sp?) type handfasting, also!! I was married once before... in a church ceremony (oh woo hoo) and I hated every second of it, because it didn't really mean anything to me... I can't wait until we can afford a beautiful ceremony like yours! :) I'll post one of my wedding pics anyways, since you asked. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures with us, Happy Anniversary!! If any of you see my fiance (he goes by GrayKnyght on here) tell him to get over to this thread and look at the pics! haha :)

Thanks for the compliment :) And as soon as Sean and I figure out when and where we're going to have this little shindig, I'd love it if I could email you and ask you all sorts of questions! :) I want to have my best friend perform the handfasting... does it matter that she's not a high priestess? We're going to do the actual legal stuff just at the courthouse, and then have the ceremony later on.. and I would love it if I had her perform it. LOL I also want to have my own Best man and Maid of Honor, and then have Sean have his own Best Man and Maid of Honor.. is that odd? I can't stop looking at those pictures! You're absolutely gorgeous! Thanks again for posting!

My Lifemate & I plan to handfast sometime in the future, we'd love to exchange our vows in an oak grove or at least have oak leaves around!
We know what we'd like to wear, as well as flowers. . . still picking parts for the ceremony tho!
