This project will be Making your own scrying mirror.
You will need:
1.) A picture frame (preferably medium sized (5" x 7" or larger)
---You will want the glass in the frame to be smooth and clear for best results - not frosted or designed.
2.) A can of black spray paint
Both items can be picked up at your local Wal-Mart relatively cheaply. You don't need anything fancy (unless you want it). This is pretty nice if you are on a tight budget!
First, set yourself up in a well ventilated room, or outside. Paint fumes can be toxic!!
Lay down some old newspapers, an old box, or a painting drop cloth, to create your "work area".
Remove the back of the frame, and take out the glass. The glass is what you will be spray painting.
Place the glass on the newspapers, shake your can of spray paint, and paint an even coat over one side of the glass.
Wait for this to dry to determine if another coat will be needed. You want the paint to be even and you do not want to be able to see through the glass.
Once the paint is dry, put the frame, glass and backing back together. Place the painted side of the glass facing the back of the frame, so that you have a glossy reflective surface in which to scry.
You're done!
Now, you can decorate the mirror in any way you like - or leave it plain.
Tips for decorating:
Don't place anything on the mirror that would distract you when you are trying to complete a scrying exercise.
Use things that appeal to you, and your divinatory senses (such as a pentagram, a picture of a third eye, etc)
Use things that you have found will help you focus, such as items you use during meditation.
Check out the divination class later on for more information on scrying! :)
Enjoy!
