How many of YOU have had these moments????LOL

I have what I call...Paranoid moments. It's not exactly Anxiety Attacks, I wouldn't think. It doesn't hinder me in public, or alone, really. I don't have physical symptoms of an anxiety attack. But...I get paranoid sometimes...I don't think i have particularly low self esteem either...I just..have paranoid moments.

Do you guys have them too? Are women more prone to this?
Does being psychically receptive leave us more prone to this???

Any thoughts?

um, YES! yes, yes, yes... :D Where or where would I be without a backspace and delete key? Finally decided one day that it was silly and if I said something dorky, well then call me a dork:D And if everyone wanted to talk about me, well then at least I provoked SOME response <lol>.

YES! It always worsens when you get in trouble too! I mean, if you say something and later on possibly get into a bit of trouble about it...you're afraid to say anything else in fear that people will take it wrong and you'll get into trouble again!!

Not so much online but sometimes in real life I feel this way - the "oh crud I really worded that wrong"... for example, when I was babysitting for one of my best friends so she could go out and she came downstairs dressed up and in makeup (she never wears makeup) and said "I clean up nice don't I"...... and I shrugged... thinking "well you always look lovely", but too shy to say it... years later I told her what I was thinking but I'm not sure she believed me :)

I don't know how many times I've written a few words then started thinking the same things you wrote. Sometimes I think "someones probably said it before and in a much better way than I can!"

But, I too, as someone thats suffered from anxiety-disorders from my teenage years on, going untreated for 25 years, can understand anyone feeling those pangs. Several years ago I began using doctor-prescribed anti-anxiety meds on a once-in-a-while-when-needed-basis, and its been pretty good for the most part. AND definitely better than the self-medicating (with alcohol) I used to resort to.
